Major update to Bulldog LLU data

Posted: Friday 4th August 2006 by Sam
Many of you have reported to me that the Bulldog data on the site is not truly reflective of what the Bulldog residential checker displays. This is because we take a feed from their wholesale checker, and whilst you might expect the information to tally closely, in quite a few cases it does not.

For this reason we're modifying our systems to take a feed from their residential checker instead. This will likely result in a reduction of the number of exchanges we display as being unbundled by Bulldog. The changes will take place tonight and tomorrow, and I'll post an update to this when it is done.

Update: The data updates have been completed. In summary, we are now reporting 160 less Bulldog enabled exchanges (and a handful of new ones too). The reason for the disparity remains unclear, as I've been unable to get a proper response from Bulldog for some time, but I suspect that it can be attributed to the fact that Bulldog have varying stages of unbundling, with wholesale being one of the earlier ones. This does mean though that the exchanges that were previously listed may well become available for Bulldog's LLU products in the future.

We will be updating from their residential data from now on, but if you spot any errors please do get in touch with me directly. Thanks!
