Bulldog unbundle more exchanges

Posted: Tuesday 9th May 2006 by Sam
Just under a year ago, Cable and Wireless announced their year-end results for March 2005. Within this they stated that they planned to have 600 exchanges unbundled by Bulldog by March 2006, and 800 by late autumn 2006. Anyone familiar with the figures though will know that Bulldog have remained static at around 410 exchanges for nearly a year now.

However, it seems that this was only a temporary setback and deployment has now begun in earnest. Yesterday saw the enablement of approximately 46 exchanges, most of which were previously scheduled to go live between the end of May and July. Further to this, more RFS dates have made their way in to the public domain, and there is now 596 exchanges pencilled to be live by the end of August.

As with Easynet, who also seem to have resumed deployment again in recent weeks, we'll be keeping a very close eye on future developments in this area.

As always, the full list of Bulldog LLU exchanges can be found here.
