The residents of Albrighton will not have been too pleased when they heard that their RFS date had been delayed again. However, by now they are probably getting used tto it, as it is the third time it has been pushed back.
Originally scheduled to go live on 21st July 2004, it was delayed until 29th September. It was then delayed again until 5th November, and now it has been pushed back once more to the 15th of December.
The delays have apparently been caused by a range of blockages in cable ducts. To make the problem worse, the blockage appears to be located under or near a large junction, and will require road works (and therefore a period of notice to the council before work can commence).
Let's just hope that this time the date is final. With a bit of luck, people in Albrighton might be able to receive ADSL by Christmas. |
