In news that will unnerve those with approaching RFS dates, a further four such dates have been pushed back as a result of cabling issues. Albrighton, Blagdon and West Harptree were all due to go live today, but have been delayed due to replacement cable ducting being required. Wylam was due to go live on the 30th of this month, but this date will not be met because of fibre problems within the existing ducting. Only Albrighton has been issued a replacement RFS date, which is set as 29th September 2004.
A table detailing the changes today can be found below.
Exchange | Old RFS date | New RFS date |
---|
Albrighton | 21/07/2004 | 29/09/2004 | Blagdon | 21/07/2004 | TBA | West Harptree | 21/07/2004 | TBA | Wylam | 30/07/2004 | TBA |
Whilst few will argue that such unexpected problems are out of BT's hands, I'm sure that the end-users on these exchanges would appreciate some additional notice that their broadband orders will not be fulfilled on time. |
