HomeChoice forced to cut service from 21 exchanges

Posted: Tuesday 1st June 2004 by Sam
HomeChoice, the ISP that provides video-on-demand services over DSL lines, has recently told users on 21 exchanges in exchanges in London that their service will cease as of June 30th. This is because BT are decommissioning the equipment used to provide the VideoStream service upon these HomeChoice services were based. A list of these 21 exchanges was not available at the time of writing, although it is thought to include Westminster, Covent Garden, Catford and Epsom.

Their LLU services, which cover 76 exchanges are unaffected by the announcement. A spokesperson from Video Networks Ltd (the owners of HomeChoice) wished to reaffirm their commitment to increasing LLU rollout in London, particularly given the recent LLU price cuts by BT.
