LLU coverage grows further still

Posted: Sunday 30th May 2004 by Sam
Both Easynet and Bulldog have increased their number of unbundled exchanges recently. Easynet now have 182 exchanges and Bulldog have 38 exchanges (Yes, we only list 37 at present - will remedy that ASAP).

It was only 2 weeks ago when we reported that Easynet had increased coverage to 158 exchanges. It seems that they really are expanding their coverage at quite a rate at the moment. Please keep in mind that we have to gather Easynet data ourselves, so we cannot guarantee its accuracy.

Bulldog's new owners (Cable and Wireless) have stated that they intend to increase their LLU presence to 200 exchanges by the end of the year. Couple this with Easynet's rapid expansion, HomeChoice's promising services and the recent LLU price cuts and you'll find that LLU is looking more and more interesting. It is also worth mentioning BT's now confirmed plans to deploy a further 150 SDSL exchanges in the near future.

Updated maps for the new LLU exchanges and the Telewest Blueyonder service can be found in the coverage maps section.
