Some interesting videos produced by BT Retail have found their way on to the internet. These are very much marketting videos, so don't expect a great deal of technical content. However, the flexible bandwidth one is interesting - particularly the way the user was able to boost their bandwidth mid-download. Whether this is actually makes it to the final product we cannot be sure.
The three videos are available here:
- Flexible bandwidth [MPEG/RAR'd MPEG]
The changing of bandwidth between 64Kbps, 512Kbps and 2Mbps at the click of a button. - BT Communicator [MPEG/RAR'd MPEG]
A convergence piece of software designed to bring together all the communications methods available to people. - Rich Media [MPEG/RAR'd MPEG]
Utilises the flexible bandwidth solution to deliver high-quality DRM (Digital Rights Management) content to the desktop. Be warned though - all the MPEG videos are upwards of 20MB! I have now added compressed RAR versions of all three files which provide a modest size reduction. |
