The black & gold badge 1978-1979 and 1983-1984

To mark Mario Andretti's World Championship victory a short run of commemorative JPS Esprits were made and the badge was black and gold to match the special livery of the cars.

Following the death of Colin Chapman in December 1982, the black and silver fitted to all earlier Esprits and Excels changed to this black and gold version. It was used in production for just over a year.

The badge above is from my 1983 Lotus Excel. The gold fades away after 3 or 4 years, but new badges are still available under part number C079U4607F.
