November 8, 2004

Gorge Games organizers have announced aggressive plans to grow the Gorge Games with a "Live Large Tour" in the spring 2005.

The tour would include stops in Portland, Seattle, and Hood River with sporting events and educational programs to promote healthy lifestyle choices.

The Gorge Games have undergone several ups and downs since their initiation almost ten years ago, attempting to expand but having trouble gaining sponsors.

Plans are also being discussed to begin regional and international Gorge Games qualifying events around the globe, with a 2006 event in Europe, 2007 in Asia, and 2008 in South America.
