FOCUS ON CASINOS

   The new brat pack
LAS VEGAS -- In typical twentysomething slacker fashion, I have arrived in town with only $500 in cash, my passport and the clothes on my back. I have come to experience Las Vegas' youthful aspects -- the clubs, bars, restaurants and casinos that cater to the hip singles set.

CASINO TRAVEL HEADLINES

Yo! Now Rocky slots are coming our way

I window shop along a fake Grand Canal and sip a cocktail in a mock St. Mark's Square - sans cathedral and sans pigeons.

For too many folks, lasting impressions of American Indians have been drawn from the frequently flawed television and movie characterizations of sagebrush soap operas. And the closest contact that many people have had with anything remotely pertaining to American aboriginal culture is playing the slots at an Indian casino, such as Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.

Bill Ordine | For boaters, they are a good bet
Going to the Atlantic City casinos? Most people get there by car or bus. Headed for Las Vegas? About half of that town's 35 million annual visitors fly there.
