Diverse opportunities: Organizers hope school auction attracts array of students
A Quaker education, Larry Boggess likes to say, is caught, not taught. Boggess' premise, which he attributes to a prominent writer on the subject, is everywhere in evidence at State College Friends School.

A few years ago I read a true story about a Russian who was unable to forget anything. Although I've now forgotten nearly everything about the book, I do remember that for him this ability was more a curse than a blessing.

Allegheny St., 355-6720): Monday -- Closed for holiday; Tuesday -- Peppi exercise, 10 a.m., Penny Bingo,10:30 a.m.; Wednesday -- Lewisburg Farmers Market and Country Cupboard; Thursday -- Flu shots, 9 a.m. to noon, Peppi exercise, 10 a.m.; Friday -- Flu shots, 9 to 10:30 a.m., shopping, 12:30 p.m.
