Day 1 Arrive in Hawaii & to Kalani Honua Conference/Retreat Center. Welcome & sumptuous dinner this evening at Kalani Honua.
Day 2 Opening Introductions, Living Your Vision workshop Part I, & time for relaxing and visiting the beach. Hawaiian Mythology this evening. All meals included today. Tai Chi & Yoga & Hula Class at various times during stay.
Day 3 Sightseeing in Hilo area. Visit beautiful Akaka Falls State Park. A short nature trail leads through bamboo groves, ferns, ti & orchids to breathtaking Akaka Falls, falling 420 feet down a sheer cliff face. Also visit Rainbow Falls, a cascade in Wailuku River State Park. Optional extra tour of the Botanical Gardens outside Hilo set in a lush valley next the the ocean. We will have a wonderful picnic lunch today in one of the parks. Picnic lunch & dinner in Hilo (extra cost)
Day 4 Continuation of Living Your Vision workshop this AM and then time for beach, warm ocean springs, steam vents, optional bodywork, relaxing. Option of yoga today. All meals included today.
Day 5 Visit Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Time to view fascinating films in the visitor center giving history of the island & the volcano; the Volcano Art Center; & the Jaggar Museum overlooking Halemaumau Crater, with beautiful displays on vulcanology. We will drive Crater Rim Drive through the ohia forest to the Thurston Lava Tube, a 450-foot lava-tube tunnel set amid a fern forest. We will then hike down into Kilauea Iki Crater for a meditation. This particular vent was active in 1959 spewing lava and now is like being on the moon with steam venting all throughout the crater floor. If there are current active lava flows in the park, we will attempt to drive or walk to them. In other years, Well Within groups have had incredible experiences hiking to lava flows & viewing & filming them. Of course this all depends on Pele. Picnic lunch and dinner out (extra cost)
Day 6 Final Living Your Vision workshop session. Time for beach, warm ocean springs, steam vents, optional bodywork, relaxing, Lava Trees State Park. Whatever you want to do today. All meals included today.
Day 7 To the west coast of Hawaii to Kona. Sightseeing along the way. Time for shopping & walking today.
Day 8 Time for the beautiful beaches of the west coast - swimming & sunning. Also time for optional tourist activities - submarine trip, glass-bottom boat/snorkeling trips, etc. (extra cost)
Day 9 To airport for flight home or continue on with us to beautiful Kauai.

Day 9 - Flight to Kauai - free time and time for the beach
Day 10 - Travel to the North Shore to beautiful Ke'e Beach and the beginning of the Na Pali trail - hiking, beach walking, sunning, snorkeling, swimming. We'll spend time in lovely Hanalei and the Hanalei Valley.
Day 11 - Travel to the west of the island to wonderful Wiamea Canyon with waterfalls and incredible views. We'll visit the rainiest spot on earth! Visit Hanapepe.
Day 12 - Trip home.

Hawaii, the beautiful volcano island. The home of active Kilauea Volcano with her famed lava flows - home of the goddess Pele. Explore the incredible healing energies of these islands through personal experience of earth energies, meditation, mythology, living your vision and healing.
We will travel throughout most of the island, visiting east & west and much in between with time for quiet time, relaxing, meditating, workshops, eating, sightseeing, learning, swimming & shopping.
Kalani Honua is a unique tropical getaway - the ONLY coastal lodging facility with the State of Hawaii's largest conservation area, located on113 acres of exotic botanical forest on the SE coast. Kalani provides comfortable accommodations for personal getaways or groups retreats, while seeking to protect Hawaii's unique environment and culture through responsible travel. Their on-site amenities include an Olympic swimming pool, 2 jacuzzis and a sauna. Kalani's friendly staff can arrange for nature walks. Among nearby attractions are a blacksand beach frequented by dolphins, tide pools, warm springs, natural steam vents, Volcanos National park, waterfalls, botanical gardens & historic villages.
Accommodations - while at Kalani Honua we will stay in simple & comfortable lodges and/or cottages. See photo. Camping is also an option for 6 of 8 nights for a reduction in price of tour of $100.00. While in Kona area we will stay in a hotel for 2 nights convenient to all.
Meals - included are 6 breakfasts, 3 lunches & 4 dinners at Kalani Honua (2 Breakfasts in Kona). Kalani has some of the BEST food on the island - wholesome vegetarian (with fresh fish & chicken options available at dinners), featuring local Hawaiian fruits & organic produce. Other meals extra and will be while we are out on our day trips to the Volcano and to Hilo Waterfalls and while in Kona.
Transport - cost of transportation is NOT included. We will arrange for shared cars for the cost of approximately $50 per person for the 8 days with 3 people per car (or you can have a car of your own or just share with 1 other, whatever you would like). We have done this before and it works very nice as there are a variety of cars to go down to the beach with or to the warm pools.

Living Your Vision: Creating the Life & Work That You Love - Are you living your vision? Are you doing the work you love & living the life you love? Would you like to be more creative in your experssion of your life & work? We will look at our lives & often unrecognized clues that are present to help us discover new & fulfilling directions. This will be a support session filled with networking of ideas; discovery of the clues; exploring ways to head in new directions & more. Vision is essential - what it is & how to live with it seems elusive. Each of us can make a difference & can effect change in the world by being who we truly are..
Tai Chi & Yoga - available while at Kalani Honua..
Lei-making classes - learn how to create a traditional flower lei and a ti-lef lei, both worn around the neck or the haku-lei (braided and worn on the head).
Hula Classes - learn basic kahikio (ancient) and auwana (modern) style of hula -- a wonderful way to experience the gentle rhythms of this tropical environment..

They are not your ordinary, large group tours, being herded into buses with little time to experience the energy of the site. We allow special extra time at sacred sites and there is always the option of being with the group or being on your own. Also, meals are usually not included (except breakfasts on some trips) to afford you the opportunity to explore on your own at meal time or eat with the group.
