Frustration mounting

Bledsoe |
In Sunday's loss to the Jets, normally staid quarterback Drew Bledsoe appeared to lose his cool several times. According to the Boston Herald, he scuffled with Jets cornerback Ray Mickens. He yelled as he walked off the field and yelled when he got to the sideline. He got after his teammates, particularly wide receiver Tony Simmons, calling out his name for all the television cameras to see. "I think I have been (more vocal) in certain areas," Bledsoe said on the Patriots Monday radio show. "When you go through a start of a season as frustrating as this has been, then sometimes those things can boil over. When the frustration level mounts, then people are inclined to say a little bit more than they would."
Former Pat leaves his mark
Going into Sunday, the Patriots had not allowed a 100-yard rushing performance in 10 games. Leave it to former Patriots' running back Curtis Martin to break that streak. Martin ran all over the Pats on Sunday, scoring three touchdowns and racking up 143 yards in the Jets' 34-17 trouncing. "He's got a ton of speed and when he gets on the edge, he's dangerous. And he showed that today. He had a great game," linebacker Ted Johnson told The Boston Globe.
