Planetary Artist Signs Exclusive Contract

DC and Wildstorm announced yesterday the signing of Planetary and Desperadoes artist John Cassaday to an exclusive creator contract. Cassaday, who bears a not-so-coincidental striking resemblance to Planetary's The Drummer, will also be illustrating several covers for upcoming issues of Superman and Batman.

Said Cassaday on his current collaboration with Wildstorm and Ellis, "Whenever Warren sends me a script, it's like Christmas. Planetary is exactly what I want to be doing right now. Working so much this last year with Scott Dunbier, John Layman and the rest of the Wildstorm and DC crew has been the most fulfilling experience of my career thus far. DC and Wildstorm offer me the greatest degree of artistic freedom and professionalism. They run a good strong ship and I intend to stay the course."

In addition to Cassaday, DC announced the renewal of the exclusive agreements of artists John (Hitman) McCrea, and colorists Danny (The Invisibles) Vozzo and Tom (LSH, The Titans) McCraw for another year.
