The World Depends on Pluggers
The world depends on pluggers,
we good-natured, hard-working types
who till the soil, drill for oil
and pump data through digital pipes;
Who plug away, day by day,
even though the tension's rising,
And find a way to stay up for work
- even when downsizing.
Now, if you yourself are a plugger
no doubt you'll soon conclude
that the essence of all pluggerhood
is a certain attitude:
A pluggerly resilience, yes,
but with a hopeful, cheerful flair;
a skillfulness and competence,
combined with savior faire.
A get-goingness when times are tough,
a steadiness at the wheel;
and the wit and grit to work hard enough
to never miss a meal.
