Two's Company
A tandem is something every family should have - and the Two's Company from Brilliant Bicycles is designed to make owning one as easy as possible. The 20" wheels allow the rear seat to go low enough for children, and most young riders will be hard-pressed to outgrow this bike: the seatposts are long enough to suit two riders of 183cm (6'). Oversized tubing makes the frame strong enough to carry adult weights, with drum brakes and a five-speed hub gear giving low maintenance and reliable operation in all weathers. With the front wheel folded sideways the tandem will fit across the back of a car on a standard carrying rack.

The Two's Company is an ideal tandem for growing families, and is versatile enough for hire operations, where reliability is important, along with the ability to fit a huge variety of customers.

Brilliant Bicycles have also come to the rescue of families who need stable and robust trailers which can accommodate growing children. The U+1 tricycle trailer, hitched to an adult bicycle, is a superb way of introducing a youngster to cycling - or two children can ride the impressive U+2. Both trailers have 20" wheels with alloy rims and six-speed indexed gears. An optional luggage rack can be fitted between the wheels to bring home the family shopping, or to carry touring luggage.

This sturdy trailer configuration is also ideal for adults who may never be able to ride independently, perhaps because of balance problems. The Add-1 has a larger frame, a low step-through height and an optional hub brake. All the trailers are linked to the towing bicycle through a universal joint with a safety wire and clip. If the towing bike falls over, the trailer will stay upright.
