Instalments by Barclays is a financing option offered by Barclays for purchases over £100 that lets you spread the cost over fixed instalment amounts. After adding eligible items to the cart, change the payment method to Instalments by Barclays and click "Continue with Application." You will be redirected to a Barclays application form to enter your personal information and the bank account you'd like Barclays to use for the instalment payments. If your request is rejected by Barclays, you can place the order again by selecting a different payment method. If accepted for Instalments by Barclays, you can make repeat purchases with your instalments account without needing to reapply, and have multiple plans as long as you remain within your credit limit and monthly payment limit. As you pay off your plans, you’ll ‘free up’ credit, which you can then spend again.

You are eligible to apply if you: - To be eligible to apply for an instalments account, you’ll need to - Be at least 18 years or older. - Have a mobile phone number and email address. - Have been a UK resident for at least three years (excluding the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man). - Be employed, self-employed or retired with a regular income of more than £500 per month. - Be up to date on other credit repayments without recent defaults, - County Court Judgement (CCJ) or bankruptcy. - Have a UK bank account from which Direct Debits can be taken.

Instalments is not available for baskets containing Amazon gift certificates, digital product purchases (music, videos, Kindle books, game or app downloads), pre-order products, grocery products, or out-of-stock products.

You can choose to pay for your purchase over 3 to 48 months, depending on the size of your basket and product purchased. The minimum monthly instalment is £15.

Make sure you are ordering from the browser on any device (computer, mobile or Tablet) or from the Amazon app on your mobile. Instalments is not available in the Amazon Tablet app. Add the item or items to your basket. Verify that there are no ineligible items in your basket (Amazon gift certificates, digital product purchases (music, videos, Kindle books, game or app downloads), pre-order products, grocery products, or out-of-stock products). The total amount of your basket must be above £100. Once the items are in your basket, when processing the order, select Instalments by Barclays under payment methods. The option will be available among your payment methods.

You will be required to provide your personal details, such as income, and questions about your financial circumstances. You will then be emailed a response to confirm if your application was successful.

Barclays will ask you to provide or confirm some details about your financial situation. They'll use this information to calculate your personal credit limit and monthly payment limit and decide if the repayments will be affordable for you. Your credit limit is the most you can spend in total with your instalments account. Your monthly payment limit is the total amount your monthly payments can add up to across all of your instalment plans. To calculate your monthly payments, Barclays take the amount you borrowed, add the total interest due over the length of your plan, and divide it by the number of payments you’ve agreed to. If you have more than one instalment plan, your monthly payments will be taken as one combined monthly payment from the account your Direct Debit comes out of.

If your instalments application is accepted, you will see this option in your payment methods. For future orders over £100, you can use your Instalments account. You can have more than one instalment plan under your account, as long as you stay within your credit limit and monthly payments limit. As you add more plans, your monthly payment will increase, and as you pay off your plans you’ll “free up” credit, which you can then spend again. You can see how much credit you have available in your Instalments account by using the Barclays App.

APR is the annual percentage rate, which is the total amount you're charged for your finance over the year. This includes all fees and interest charges, and helps you compare the cost of borrowing across difference financing options by providing a like for like comparison

If you already have an existing plan, the rate of interest is fixed so the amount you need to repay will not change.

From time to time, promotional rates are made available on certain products. When available, we will display such promotional rates as you checkout.

No, you need to keep up with your payments while your complaint is investigated. Missing payments will result in your account falling behind and being reported to the credit reference agencies as detailed in your credit agreement.
