  The average age when someone has sex for the first time is 16. Some countries it's forbidden until a certain age, for example in the UK, it's 16, and it's 17 in the republic of Ireland. In some countries, it's illegal to have sex outside of marriage.

  Can I lie to a doctor about whether or not I’ve gotten the covid vaccine?

  So I recently turned 18 and I want to switch from my pediatrician to a new doctor. I also recently got the first dose of the covid vaccine. I did this secretly because my mother is anti-vaccination and would have been very upset. I also have some minor medical issues and this new doctor wants to give me a check up as well as do a blood draw. I know my mother will be present, and it’s very uncomfortable to tell her to leave the room so if the doctor asks if I have received the covid vaccine, is it okay to lie? Will it affect anything? Will it show up in blood work and expose me? I’m not really interested in answers like “just tell your mom the truth” or “just ask her to leave the room when you’re at the appointment”. Please understand. Thank you

  Should I ask for a different nurse or should I change my provider because I know the nurse?

  Me and this nurse used to work together years ago and we have mutual people that we know. I see a doctor in that office and I have notice each time I go there she is my nurse even if my provider changed, she still my nurse. She is a nice person but I just don't feel comfortable talking about my personal stuff with her because I know her.

  Can I ask for a different nurse? but if she found out I asked for a different nurse she would feel strange about it. Should I just go to a different office for my regular check up? Regular check ups they asked a lot of personal question and some questions they don't even need to be asking. I just need my regular health checked that's it

  Period late for 118 days?

  I can't be pregnant, I'm 13, I don't like men, and I'm a virgin. When my period was 82 days late I brought it up to my mother and she said it was normal because I'm young. Prior, my periods were somewhat irregular in the sense that I got it every other month. I've suspected endometriosis due to my abnormally heavy flow and debilitating cramps, but when I asked her to take me to a gyno and she refused. Then I asked if I could try taking birth control to make my period more regular, but she refused to do that as well. Should I be worried?

  My daughter is 12 and has not yet started her periods. She’s tall for her age and looks older than 12. Anyways. I was 10 when I started my periods and my mum was 11 when she started. When should I worry?

  What to do if I had unwanted sex?

  This happend when I went for a night party with my friends. I drank little alcahol and some other drinks. Boy friends dropped me at home that day my parents not there. I felt little tired and they help me to reach my room and immediately I fall asleep. When wake up I'm fully nude and can't remember what happened. Felt little pain in my holes and I suspect they cheated.

  My gf had BV the first time we had sex and I’m very sad/confused about it?

  I’ve always been under the assumption that having BV means that you’re what society would call you a “****” I don’t condone this type of talk but it’s what I’ve heard around me. Like “you know that girl with the fishy vagina what a ****”. This has made me very upset because the first time my gf and I had sex I believe she had BV. I love my girlfriend very much and would never break up with her for this reason it’s just very upsetting to me and gets stuck in my head with profound negativity. I’ve heard that many things can cause BV but it’s mostly unprotected sex and I know she had a bf before me.

  Any advice? Girls I didn’t mean this to be offensive, I just need enlightenment.

  1. Yes, using condoms during vaginal intercourse would greatly help prevent pregnancy.  2.  The pull-out method is never reliable.  He could accidentally ejaculate before pulling out, or could dribble precum or prostate fluid with viable sperm before he has an orgasm.  With anal intercourse it could not cause you pregnancy with internal ejaculation so pulling out wouldn't be necessary, but there is the risk that semen could leak out and reach your vagina.  You'd have to be careful to rinse or wipe any semen away so it can't get to the vagina.  (If you engage in anal, never go from anal to vaginal due to the risk of bacterial infection to the vagina.)

  You do have other birth control options beyond birth control pills.  The condoms you mentioned are one option.  Similarly, there are vaginal condoms which get inserted into the vagina rather than worn on the penis.  There's also the IUD, the implant (which is implanted in the arm usually), diaphragms, spermicidal sponges and gels, the "natural family planning" method which involves tracking your menstrual cycles to know which days of the month you are fertile and which days you aren't so you're safe to have unprotected vaginal intercourse.  And ultimately, if you never want to have kids, you could get a tube tie (tubal ligation) or he could get a vasectomy.  Talk to your gynecologist about all your contraceptive options and make a decision on what you think would be best.

  New positions?

  Hi, so this is probably a very tmi question but its playing on my mind. My boyfriend really wants me to try riding him - as we usually stick to doogy/missionary - but i've never tried it before, i tried it on my dildo but it just hurts, im thinking this may be because that toy wasn't flexible?   Accidentally got soap in vagina, and I'm scared.?

  This happened Sunday when I was in the shower washing, around my legs, and on my vagina lips. (Washing around the vulva seemed to never irritate my skin). But then my hand slipped and I accidentally put soap INSIDE my vagina. I started to panic and my heart rate sped up. I quickly washed off, before getting out of the shower putting water onto a rag and gently wiping the vuvla. It started to burn when I peed and i wanted to cry so bad. Now it is Thursday as I am typing this and my vagina itches, and feels irritated. I did something I shouldn't have done and googled these symptoms, and now I'm even more worried I have a yeast infection. I did shave a little bit earlier in the week, last Tuesday to be exact, so I think it might be razor bumps but theres no bumps so I dont think so. I'm never putting soap anywhere near my vagina after this experience. I'm to scared to tell my mom, and I'm also embarrassed. I did have UTI symptoms last Thursday so I went to the doctor. I dont want to ask my mom to take me to the doctor because I just went. I'm so scared, I cant sleep at night because the thought of having an infection scares me so much. Help would be appreciated. Thank you.
