  Yahoo has already made it clear that you have no rights here. Then again the 1st amendment has nothing to do with private enterprise, it's to restrict government intrusion into what people can and cannot say. It's being eroded right now in the guise of "wokeism" with these SJW's walking around wringing their hands looking for something to be offended by. 

  If you think it's bad now, wait till the leftist communists get their way and revoke the 2nd. The 2nd is what gives teeth to all the other rights. Without the 2nd the 1st is gone, the 4th is gone, then the rest will follow. 

  Those of us in the older generation, the ones the little kiddies like to mockingly call boomers will be gone within a few decades. Then these little brain donors will be forced to live in the cesspool they created. We tried to warn them, we tried to fight against the idiocy they want, and we're losing. This nation will be a far different place in just 20 years, in 30 years we'll be less than a shadow of what we once were. I'm glad I won't be around to see it.

  this may be goodbye, so will you come say goodbye hunting section? may i reveal who i really am?

  over the years, i had started this hobby almost completely alone. my parents are immigrants from a country torn apart by war. i learned alot from you guys. cane toad, and bear crap are the two who influenced me heaviest. i digress. i knew very little about this hobby. i was going through some pretty hard times back in 2011, 2012. didnt have any friends. my family is so traditional i dont even want to start on that. but the types of practices they do, will make anyone unfamiliar with middle eastern christian practices gasp. ive learned so much from all of you that i myself have taught many people about guns, changed their minds, educated them, taught people all about the history, function, and safe handling of firearms. while in the military i went in as one MOS but i was treated more as a weapons repair. always qualified expert. when i went overseas, some bad things happened. and i realized how some of you all ended up so grizzled and crochity. ive joined the club myself haha. i wanted to thank you all personally for teaching me everything you did, there is very very few of you that i hold any animosity for. and those of you that i do, ill be sure to unblock. maybe we can all catch back up on the firing line sometime? the forum. not real life. my username on there is hammer_jockey_91

  What are the dangers of using 5 year old aluminum cased ammo?

  Recently became a gun owner again after purchasing a G19 offline (nowhere to be found during covid locally) and bought all the necessary accessories BUT I'm kinda lacking in the ammo department. I'd say after my first 100 round range trip I'm gonna be down to only having my 4 mags full and no spare anything. 

  I did however have the foresight to keep all the ammo from my previous guns I've bought and sold over the years AND they've all been 9mm so all the ammo can be fed through my new gun. The issue is some of the ammo is upwards of 5 years old at this point (all carry ammo I've spent every range round I've ever had) and hasnt been stored ideally. But none of the rounds have rust on them and they're all good brands, Hornady, Barnaby, Federal Etc. and all primers look good to go I've scraped up around 60 rounds looking in my car and around my house. So the question is should I give them a good dust off and keep em to the side or should I have a good day at the range with em and just call it a day.

  OR the horrible third option. Are there hidden dangers I should know about? When I started keeping em I woulda shot em without thought but now that in wiser I'm a little skeptical.  Would love to know if I have to re buy any of these rounds which have all skyrocketed since lockdown and beyond.

  It has been a long time since I came to Yahoo Answers, but when I heard it was closing down soon, I had to come say good-bye to the forum where I spent the most time, Hunting. I remember some of you. Don't know if you remember me or not, but I remember some of you. The recent years have been difficult for me. The last decade saw my job restructured out of existence during the Great Recession, then while I was starting up a business I was diagnosed with cancer, which I battled for several years. Though I am now in remission, both the disease and the treatment took a lot out of me that I may never get back. It's been years now since I was able to do the kind of week-long deer camp I thought of as "normal." I'm still rebuilding my strength in hopes of being able to pull a high enough draw weight to bowhunt this fall. We shall see! Come with me in spirit if you like, and I will send my spirit to the field with you, too.

  Will the assault rifle ban include hunting rifles?

  what they consider a assault rifle and what many americans own is much different. may look the same but may not have same functions. assault weapons are automatic. most of what american citizens buy is semi auto. some have no bayonet stud. shucks, some bolt action rifles are more powerful in the wrong hands than the ar's people own. and ar doesnt stand for assault rilfe, it was for armalite 15 the father of this line.

  Yes, you have defined "in battery". Just like baseball...just because the batter is in the box doesn`t mean the pitcher is on the mound.

   As far the word that YA censors...just use zero instead of o. That has always worked for me. There`s absolutely no reason for "c0cked" to be censored if used in the correct term.

  Light primer strike 12 gauge?

  Hi everyone.

  I had a light primer strike problem with a 12 gauge shotgun. It is a reputable Turkish manufacturer Derya, 14 inch barrel pump action shotgun. At the range we tried two different types of ammunition and it had the same problem of light primer strikes with both. If I put a shell in the chamber by hand directly, it fires every single time. The problem was when I was loading from the magazine through pump action. It would simply not fire. The gun is clean. When I came back I did a pencil test, put a thick pencil in the barrel, held the gun vertically and pulled the trigger. The firing pin threw the pencil all the way out. What else could be the problem? It fires when loaded directly in the chamber so hammer spring and pin are not an issue.

  What are the most reliable least glamorous shotguns?

  I would like to purchase a shotgun to keep in the house and wanted input on what I should buy, as I have never owned a gun. Low maintenance, entry to mid level cost and no frills high reliability would be ideal. Where do I start?

  Beretta 92a1 cycling issues?

  I bought a beretta 92a1 back in February brand new and have only been able to put about 150 rounds down range on it. Since owning it, factory rounds will cycle through the gun perfectly fine, but the slide won't lock back on the final bullet. 

  On reloads, the gun will either stovepipe or fail to eject every single round. 

  What does this sound like to you guys? The reloads are the same load as the factory I fire. Even tried a slightly hotter load and it didn't help. Is it because the spring is so new? is the recoil spring too heavy? Do I need to cycle more rounds to break in the gun? Everything is factory and I'm not sure what's happening.

  If Biden bans assault rifes and high capacity clips, will you be allowed to keep your hunting rifles or have to turn them in or hide them?

  people with bump stocks that i knew didnt really destroy them. rather waited until the ruling that broke today. which was that bump stocks are not machine guns. 

  congress back in 94 if i am not mistaken banned the future sales but grandfathered in mags and guns that were "banned" and honestly ive heard that our "assault rifles" would be considered grand fathered in. 

  reguardless, it is unconstitutional at its core. and if it gets taken in front of the supreme court, its going to get squashed quicker than you can say "supreme court justice Barrett"
