About the Amazon Currency Converter

The Amazon Currency Converter allows you to pay in your local currency when purchasing eligible items from the Amazon.co.uk website and using an eligible Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card.

When you purchase eligible items from the Amazon.co.uk website and use an eligible Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card denominated in currencies supported by the Amazon Currency Converter, you may be able to pay in your local currency. We'll show you the total amount of your order in your local currency on the order summary page.

When you purchase using the Amazon Currency Converter:

  • We’ll automatically show you the payment total in your local currency on the order summary page.
  • You always have the option to pay in your local currency or in Pounds Sterling.
  • You get a guaranteed exchange rate. This is the amount Amazon will charge your card. Also, you don’t have to worry about currency fluctuations on returns. We’ll use the original foreign exchange rate for your purchase.

Note:

  • If 1-Click shopping is enabled on Your Account, you can view the price of the item on the product detail page or the subtotal of the items in your Shopping Cart in your local currency. To find out how to update your 1-Click settings, go to Change Your 1-Click Settings.
  • The applicable exchange rate includes all Amazon.co.uk fees and charges related to the use of Amazon Currency Converter. The payment total you receive in your dispatch confirmation e-mail will be the amount reflected on your bank or credit card statement. In some cases your bank may still charge you a fee.
