As a long term male fan of JLH (well let's face it she is one of the most gorgeous actresses out there, IMHO) I just had to see what all the Ghost Whisperer fuss was about. Yes, JLH does have plenty of opportunities to show off her rather famous bosom and cleavage but beyond that I have found the stories to be very well written, directed and acted by all concerned. The episodes really make me feel emotional for the situation portrayed (for me a sign that the show is doing all the right things) and I am very intrigued by the little twists and wrinkles each episode has just after the half way stage which give the story a slightly different slant. I am still only part way through the first series but I have already ordered the second as I have a strong feeling that this will be a series I will watch again and again over time. If you like the spooky and supernatural then give this a go and see what you think.

A series in the same vein as `Medium'; although a little more emotive and concentrating on the lives of those passed this show starring Jennifer Love Hewitt really is exceptional.
With guidance and input from acclaimed medium James Vann Praugh the series focuses' around newlyweds Melinda Gordon (played by Hewitt) and Jim Clancy (David Conrad) as they struggle with their move to Grandview after Melinda is visited by a ghost. We learn of the gift Melinda possesses - and the relationships she shares with her mother and grandmother and how they've helped her.
With tender scenes, touching heart in throat moment with sprinkles of horror and dark humour this series really is worth the watch. The series is 22 episodes long - so there is plenty to set you're teeth into.
The series however takes a dark and unexpected turn in the latter episodes with the arrival of a foe, deathly warnings and the foreboding, yet shocking death of someone close to Melinda.

Series Highlights (SPOILERS)
`Wide brim hat man' - Melinda's foe.
A plane crash devastates Grandview
Melinda's mother has a secret?

Ghost Whisperer is one of the best programmes on TV. It mixes scare factor, romance, and good acting into one programme (Including some stunning episode - The two part finale was AMAZING!). Half of the episode is usually quite scary, and the other half is the resolution. Usually everything gets resolved within one episode, and we get to see flashbacks of how it happened, and also some flashbacks of how Melinda got her powers! Definately Recommeneded - It's a must buy, and a must see!

Ghost Whisperer is a thought provoking and fascinating show. It's intelligent, upsetting, scary and funny (everything you want from a drama really!) The acting is superb and and the stories compelling. I would definately recommend this to anyone. Season 2 is also brilliant and I am patiently waiting for season 3 to be released on region 2 dvd. It really is one of the best programs on television. Buy it and enjoy. You will not be dissapointed.

I have to admit that I thought this would be too corny and not very engaging, but from the very first episode I was hooked. It is perhaps a little corny, but wouldn't work without it! The stories are involving, the cast are likeable, and the story arc is really enjoyable. I love the ending of this first series too, and can't wait for the second series to arrive so that I can find out what happens next. A new favourite!

I'm really enjoying this series and looking forward to watching the rest of it.
It's entertaining, thought provoking, and it's also funny at times, a good mixture of all three.

I'd compare it to "Tru Calling" in a way (I loved that series as well), in the sense that Melinda helps dead people cross over, whereas Tru stopped their death from happening.
Anyone who has never seen Tru Calling before but is enjoying this, then I would highly recommend you watch it.

JLH plays her role brilliantly, and you can see her empathy with both the living and the dead. My only very small gripe is when she doesn't always tell the living person exactly what the dead person has said, sometimes she leaves out the most important part. If I were the dead person and she did it to me, I haunt her for it :-)

The supporting cast are also great, David Conrad, her husband who knows her secret, and understands her, & supports her so much, and Aisha Tyler, her partner in the antique shop are both great characters and add to the humourous side........"Is it a Friendly or Hostile?"

I love Homer the dog as well and I'm looking forward to seeing his story....Should be good, I hope it's a Happy Ending for him though.

Roll on the rest of Series 1, and the other 4 series.
