This review is from: I-Ssassins (Heroes) (Hardcover)
I bought this book for my 12 year old son who took it on holiday and read it in two days. His verdict: "Brilliant!"
He liked the fact that there was lots of detail about the main character, including a bit about his past, in the first chapter, so he felt he got to know him. He also liked that the characters were teenagers. The main storyline is that a group of teenagers try to stop terrorists and others from taking over the world using computers. He found it exciting and quite different to other things he'd read. Highly recommended!

This review is from: I-Ssassins (Heroes) (Hardcover)
Part of a series called Heroes, these are targeted at less able and reluctant readers, especially boys as the main character in this story(and many of the others), is a 14 year old boy. Luke Kitson has re-invented himself using his skills as a cyber hacker. When his granny died, he managed to create not only a new persona for himself, but also a lifestyle to match - that is until ELITE, a cyber spy team of crack young people track him down and enrol him to their team. They are tasked with solving and eradicating cyber crime and terrorist threats before they happen - using sophisticated cyber monitoring techniques. Hearing of the latest initiative, due to go global and supported by the UK government, the ELITE team are asked to find out more. They are asked to infiltrate the "YourLifeNetwork" and see if it's as good as it appears, but all doesn't go according to plan and Luke and Gemma find themselves fighting for not only their lives, but the fate of the world. Fast paced, well written and current in its subject matter it will appeal particularly to young adults who are IT savvy
