5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely useful 27 Mar 2013
Format:Paperback
Textbook for this exam was desperately needed and this book ticks all the boxes, especially with the chapters on the new stuff like functions and matrices and proof. Lots of worked examples with really good explanations. Loads of exercises to practice on and hooray! answers are included.

4.0 out of 5 stars A helpful textbook 2 July 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book is very useful to those studying further mathematics at GCSE. It is more suited to revision as previous knowledge of the topics in the book is required in order to understand the content. Although the book is very helpful, the explanations within are rather complex and wordy so at times be difficult to understand and may need more than one read through. Having the exam style questions as well as the ones at the end of each section are great as it provides a suitable application for the topics learned.
Overall it is a good textbook with well covered content however the explanations can be difficult to understand at times.
