5.0 out of 5 stars Invicta 8926 coin edge watch 30 Mar 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
Looking for an automatic watch rather than quartz. Read various reviews on the Invicta 8926 pro diver with coin edge bezel and decided to purchase. Great looking watch, not too bulky but big enough to see! Seems to keep time really well - never going to be as accurate as even cheap quartz watches but even the most expensive branded 'mechanical' watches would lag behind quartz to some degree.Bracelet has decent length and watch seems to be built to last. I would definitely reccomend this watch.Check prices as there can be quite a variance between various Amazon sellers!

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad timing 21 Jun 2011
Having researched several of Invicta's watches, I finally settled on the the 8926 Automatic. I purchased it on 24th February 2011 and it arrived promptly thereafter. My new Invicta watch certainly looked the part, so I paid a watch repairer a fiver to alter the bracelet, rather than do it myself. Even though it's an automatic, I was surprised a few weeks later when it stopped two hours after I took it off for the first time. It started up again when I put the watch back on. But on June 14th the watch stopped completely while it was still on my wrist. The market place seller would not take care of the problem, nor provide a refund or a replacement. And Amazon are not able to help after 60 days from the date of purchase. To have my three-month-old watch repaired under warranty I have to return it to Invicta HQ in Florida, USA, with a foreign draft for $25 for return postage. The charge for a foreign draft is around 20. So returning the watch to Invicta for repair is going to cost me over 40 by the time I have paid for registered postage. To add insult to injury, this watch was my engagment present from my fiancee. My advice? If you're spending a reasonable sum on a watch, buy it from a shop. Then you stand a better chance of being covered by the Sale of Goods Act.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid and Stylish 4 Aug 2011
By Dave E
If you're thinking about buying an Invicta 8926 then that's probably because you're looking for a watch that closely resembles a Rolex Submariner. This watch is more than just an affordable Submariner clone though, it's a very solid watch for the price and it comes with a pretty good quality bracelet. The display back is a nice touch that never fails to impress.

If you really want a Submariner but can't afford it you really won't go far wrong with the 8926.

5.0 out of 5 stars Invicta 8926 with NH35A movement. 12 Aug 2013
Amazon Verified Purchase
Had a life long fascination for watches, fulfilled largely by having a few top brand examples over the years. Wanted a rugged watch for everyday wear; gardening, car tinkering etc.. Preferring mechanical over electronic, I was interested to see the buyers' comments on the reasonably priced 8926 from Amazon. It started well, delivered two days ahead of schedule. Having worn it every day for the past six weeks, now feel qualified to form an opinion. Arrived with a generous bracelet length, easily tailored to fit with help of a repair kit, less than 5 at Amazon. First impressions, solid, rugged, nothing "cheap" about it, in appearance very similar indeed to the Su*****ner! A well tried design, if you will, so no problems there. Time keeping; for the past 15 days it has not gained or lost more than 1second, as checked against my radio-controlled atomic clock regulated time keeper. I calculate that to mean that its visible balance wheel has ticked nearly 8 million beats in that time, and is no more than 6 beats adrift! That puts this watch among the very best mechanical time-keepers, at any price, in my experience. Perhaps I am lucky, as the retail price cannot allow much for individual regulation of each movement off the production line.Whether it lasts awaits to be seen, but delivered to my doormat for less than the cost of a tankful of motor fuel, anything beyond 12 months would be outstanding value. Would I buy another? You bet, I already have one in mind!

5.0 out of 5 stars Submariner well err no but i like it 11 July 2013
Amazon Verified Purchase
I know it looks like a Submariner a little , okay a lot , well if we are being honest at 'face value' its a hard job to tell them apart and that is some of the charm here. This is a genuine company and the watch isn't a fake as it carries none of its more refined or expensive parents markings , but what you have is a well built well presented every day business watch that makes you feel good your co workers green with envy ( well the male ones at least ) and your bank manager and wife happy.

sure it doesn't feel like genuine Submariner but its refined enough the second hand sweeps and the face is clear and precise. the screw down crown is solid and the date hack works just fine. the clear glass back reassures that while this isn't the Swiss movement it also isn't a battery and rust one either.

don't be ashamed its not a Rolex be proud that its a genuine Invicta and your wife is still talking to you and if you do forget to take it off while doing some DIY the scratch that you get wont make you cry like a girl .

Its not a Swiss masterpiece but its also not just another Sub 100 watch either, if you have the money and the desire then the Swiss is always the way to go I did twice but these do really hold there own even in the company of a Daytona original .

5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING 2 Aug 2012
By nim

Overall this watch represents amazing value for money.
As stated by some other reviewers, the movement is a Seiko NH35A and not the pictures myiota movement (the Seiko movement has hacking and self winding).

Having taken off a few links, the watch feels very comfortable.
I have set the time with my radio controlled alarm clock and after a day it has gained 1 second, this is amazing accuracy for an automatic.

Only negative - the braclet sounds a little 'rickety' but seems solid enough

Well done Invicta, I may be purchasing another Invicta watch very soon ;-)

UPDATE: I am still impressed with the build quality, however the watch is running around 7 seconds fast each day - still very impressive for an automatic.
