Bought these tent pegs via the company Virtual Online Store. Paid extra for the quicker delivery. Ordered Thursday, came Friday. Seems like they take their shipments seriously. As a fellow online seller I wanted to give them some good feedback. Tent pegs are fine. Not too flimsy. Will do the job just fine I think. They are not the really thin ones that bend as soon as you look at them.

Tent pegs a Dad would buy.

Earlier this year our family suffered a dreadful disaster. With winds as strong as I can remember, the children's play tent became unfastened from its moorings in our back garden and flipped and flopped before flying into the neighbour's garden. When the wind died down I asked the neighbour if I could have our tent back. He looked at me with cold and empty eyes and then put a fork in it. How cynical and cruel after all we'd been through.

I dragged the tattered tent back into our garden and undertook a full health and safety check. It turned out the pegs supplied with the play tent were not fit for purpose. They were L shaped and lacked the distinctive hook of authentic tent pegs. This, I surmised, was the cause of the disaster which ultimately led my neighbour to an act of violence that still gives me nightmares. Fortunately, our children were in doors at the time this happened. Well, locked in the cellar to be honest. You see, we keep the children in the play tent and quite frankly don't want them untidying the house. And their bedroom had blown away and our neighbour had deliberately attempted to destroy it.

With nightfall due in only a few hours and with our children potentially having nowhere to sleep, my wife lovingly darned the fork holes and brought the play tent/bedroom back to life and function.

Being the man of the household, I did what I could and addressed the L shaped tent peg problem. After researching on Amazon I bought this 10pk of tent pegs for £1.62 including post and packaging which was a little on the steep side to be honest but you'll notice a distinctive hook finish to the end of each peg and I can report they work superbly.Read more ›
