Lightweight, they stay in place and great sound quality but...,

For a good sounding pair of cost effective phones for someone that exercises for periods up to an hour.. they're good. If you run or exercise for longer periods then they are likely to become irritating.. at least if you have experienced more comfortable (softer but still durable materials) you'll be missing them (that was my experience)
These are very simple headphones. For someone who wants a budget, no-hassle and easy to use pair of sport headphones I recommend these. They are not the most comfortable, but they still deliver the basic needs for an active individual. They are water and sweat resistant, they stay put around one's ears, they are lightweight, and easy to travel with. These are for the casual jogger or walker looking for something simple that will stand the test of a light douse of sweat and won't fall out of place. Pros: 1 They don't fall off 2 Price 3 Sound quality is as good as something twice the price 4 The cords/wires are light 5 Showerproof (run in the rain) 6 Sweat proof (won't slip off) 7 L Jack makes it easier to clip and more durable Cons: 1 Hard plastic can become uncomfortable over longer periods 2 No control on the cord (it's harder to access the hardware that's clipped on when you are running) 3 They aren't 'noise isolating' which means unless you keep the volume down it might be irritating to people around you AND you can still hear a lot of background noise/distractions

I bought these for road running and they do stay in your ears - just about! I am a female who has quite small ears and these just about stay on when I am running, this in turn may lead to the sound quality not appearing to be as good as it would if they fitted a little more snuggly. I have since ordered a pair of Philips ear hook headphones SHS4841/10 as these may fit a little more snuggly than these Sony headphones.

One side died after four months of use, buds don't stay close enough to ear canals for good sound reproduction.

Great quality sports earphones. More comfortable than previous model. Fits perfectly, easy to adjust the hook size and don't fall of while running. Great quality sound from Sony as always.

Ive used these for running and can say that for me they are comfortable and stay put. I found the sound quality very disappointing though: not much volume, next to no bass, trying to turn things up just results in horrible distortion. I bought these because I wanted to be able to hear outside noises such as traffic that canal-phones would block out. For 10 they're ok and do the job, but personally I'll be shopping for something with better sound quality

These headphones were great when they worked. However, half way through a 5 mile run today the right earphone stopped working completely. As these are designed for wearing when doing sports, as I am not the fastest of runners, I am very disappointed in the product. I will now have to send them back to Sony and see if I can get a replacement.

the headphones hold on pretty well to the ear, but the speaker never sticks to the ear, thus decreasing volume and listening experience in general.
