About Delivery of Large Items

Amazon.co.uk classifies certain items as "Large" based on product weight and/or dimensions.

These items are delivered by our specialist carrier (Home Delivery Network). We'll assign the carrier based on the items you order, your postcode and the delivery option you choose.

Scheduled Delivery

If an item is eligible for Scheduled Delivery, you'll be given an option for Standard Delivery or Scheduled Delivery while placing the order. You'll be able to choose the delivery date and time frame that works best for you. A Scheduled Delivery service is not available for P.O. Box addresses or BFPO addresses.

If you need to change a Scheduled Delivery after your order has been placed, you can do so by contacting the carrier Home Delivery Network. Their phone number is 0800 0151509. If you've received an e-mail confirming that your order has dispatched, keep your tracking number handy when you contact Home Delivery Network - this will help them find your order.

The carrier will call on the morning of delivery with details of your two hour time slot, and again an hour before arrival to confirm delivery. We recommend that you include a phone number as part of your delivery address.

Standard Delivery

If you don't choose Scheduled Delivery or if the option isn't available, we'll use your postcode to allocate the delivery to a specialist carrier in your area. On the second business day after your order was placed, the carrier will phone you to suggest a four hour time slot for delivery of your order.

If the carrier cannot contact you, delivery may be delayed, so please ensure you have a valid daytime telephone number on your account, when you place your order.

How Delivery Works

On the day of delivery, the carrier will take the item inside the property, open the box, check for damage and ask you to sign a delivery confirmation.

Remember that these items are large. To ensure the item will fit through the necessary access points, please check the product size information on the relevant detail page.

At your home, provided it's safe to do so, the delivery team will place the carton in a room of your choice on the ground floor, unpack the product, and remove all packing materials from the residence.

They will check the product for apparent damage and ask you to sign a delivery slip to confirm the item is correct and free from apparent damage.

If you're not available for the delivery at the prearranged time or the item doesn't fit through the access points to your property, Amazon.co.uk reserves the right to charge you a restocking fee of GBP 70.00.

Note: If you purchase a similar item from a Marketplace seller on Amazon.co.uk, the above information doesn't apply. Each individual seller has their own delivery process which they'll notify you of when they dispatch the item.
