These headphones are definitely heading the right way forward, the build quality is solid, they look very stylish(in the world of gaming) and the sound is outstanding, there are a few negatives though which I will explain a bit later.

Note that when it states it's a PC/MAC headset, it really means that, I tried it with my PlayStation 3 due to the dongle being USB like my other Sony Wireless Stereo Headset (PS3), although it recognises the model, it just doesn't want to receive any audio or transfer the microphone to the PS3, so for those who want proper multi-platform usage, it's safe to say spend that extra money on the upgraded version: Creative Soundblaster Tactic3D Omega Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox 360/PS3/PC/MAC.

I would recommend downloading the headsets software by going to Creative's official website - 'Support' tab - 'Sound Blaster' or 'Headphones & Headsets' - 'Sound Blaster Tactic3D Wrath Wireless' - You should then see a downloads section, read both of them to make sure you download the correct one as one is for Macs and the other is for Windows. This software lets you tweak all the sound settings to give you the optimum audio experience for certain situations (ie; gaming, movies etc...).

To charge these headphones it comes with a supplied USB cable, you can charge whilst using but do note that the dongle has be connecting to the computer also, if you're having issues with the length there are products like this USB 2.0 A Plug to A Socket Extension Cable Hi Speed 1.8M available.

These headphones are very comfy, but personally I found them to ache my ears after LONG periods of time, this may be because they're not big enough to fit right over my hears, and whilst the pressure is minimal, it adds up (I think I started feeling the pressure after 3 hours of constant use).

The other thing I wasn't too impressed with was the microphone, it's okay and does the job, but it's not the best I've heard compared to other headsets, I don't use the microphone for the PC a lot anyway, so I guess it doesn't really effect me and with the mic being detachable it doesn't get in the way.

Overall it's a decent headset, I would recommend it to those who are after good quality headphones, or aren't too bothered about the highest microphone quality, but for those who are hardcore gamers I would suggest investing in an upgraded version.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not the best option at this price range, 5 April 2013

This review is from: Creative Soundblaster Tactic3D Wrath Wireless Gaming Headset for PC and MAC (Accessory)
I've been using a Logitech G930 headset for about a year now; eventually I got tired of the thing cutting out every eight seconds whenever I plugged them in to charge, and decided to invest in a new headset. Eventually, I settled on these.

Unfortunately, the Wrath headset just doesn't feel anywhere nearly as good. The G930 simply outdoes them in comfort, audio quality, microphone quality, build quality, and usability.

The ear cups on the Wrath are small and want to crush the life out of my ears, the headband isn't very wide and attempts to crack my head like a giant walnut. Sound isn't as clear as I feel it should be, and apparently the microphone quality is a serious step down from my last one. The buttons to control volume and mute/unmute the microphone are a nice touch, but they feel very plastic-y and unsatisfying to use (for example, the volume buttons need to be constantly pressed and re-pressed for several seconds to make any significant change). There are also fewer buttons than I'm used to, which prevents me from controlling my media while away from the desk.

Granted, the Wrath didn't disconnect at any point when I used it (though this wasn't for terribly long), and the range seems to roughly match the G930 at maybe ten or twelve metres with only minor issues.

Just the same, though, I've gone back to the Logitech headphones; they just feel so much better. I apologize for going on about the G930s, but they're what I'm comparing the Wrath to, and they really are a superior choice; they're usually roughly the same price as these, too, being perpetually reduced on Amazon. Honestly, they're just so much better, despite the disconnections every now and then, go and buy those instead of these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for gaming, music and even audio books., 8 Aug 2012

Creative Soundblaster Tactic3D Wrath Wireless Gaming Headset for PC and MAC

This headset is very good looking and particularly comfortable. We have purchased Creative Soundblaster Gaming Headsets in the past for the Xbox and have been really pleased with them. These ones for the PC are equally good.

They sit comfortably over the ear blocking outside noise extremely effectively. Used for online gaming they are just perfect, almost completely lag free and vocals sound like vocals should, you can actually tell who you are speaking to by voice alone! When playing first person shooter games (like call of duty and modern warfare) the lag free environment makes it easy to hear people creeping up on you ... a real bonus. In game sound effects are also brilliant whilst wearing the Creative Soundblaster Tactic3D headset.

Used wirelessly for audio (music and the like) the quality of sound is like nothing you've heard before (in this price range), base sounds just as base should. I've even used this headset for listening to audio books on my laptop and being wireless I can wander around my kitchen whilst still listening. Fantastic.

To sum up ... worth every penny.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great quality headset, 25 July 2012

There are numerous versions of this kind of headset on the market now; an all-in-one solution to allow you to listen to game audio and chat to your fellow gamers at the same time, in one simple headset.

This version allows you to manage the volume of both independently and also includes a mute button for the game chat. The design of the headset and build quality is very good and I've found the audio quality to be fine. Nothing amazing, but perfectly adequate. Voice chat sounds crisp and I've heard no complaints of a whistling or fuzzy mic from other people online.

Overall this headset is a great investment, the only minor niggle I have is that it's a little bulky and the USB receiver is a little unwieldy. If it needed to be large I'd rather it was on a cable so it can easily be hidden and allows decent access to other ports on the computer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sounds Great, 18 July 2012
This review is from: Creative Soundblaster Tactic3D Wrath Wireless Gaming Headset for PC and MAC (Accessory)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Programme (What's this?)
I've been a fan of Creative products for a long time, their sound cards and Zen range in particular. However, this is the first pair of headphones I've bought from them - and they didn't disappoint me. The build quality is good and they are comfortable to wear for long periods of time, essential for those marathon gaming sessions. I've been using these with my laptop for playing games and watching movies, both of which are catered for admirably by these. The battery life is around 6/7 hours, but that's more than enough for my needs. The neon power lights make these exceptionally cool, though that might be just my personal tastes... A good set of head phones, packaged with a wireless dongle and a microphone - if I could find a way to connect it to my Wii, they would be perfect.

5.0 out of 5 stars good quality headphones build and sound, 25 Sep 2012

This review is from: Creative Soundblaster Tactic3D Wrath Wireless Gaming Headset for PC and MAC (Accessory)
Ive never had a wireless headset before this and i am glad i did take the plunge.
These headphones are quite heavy compared to creative fatality 1 and 2 ive had before and still got ,but they feel a quality build.

on my big head they do feel a bit tighter than fatality 1 and 2 but they are still very comfortable on unless your the elephant man you'll be OK,they cover my ears completely so i dont get the problem some say of the cups pushing against ears .

i really got them for gaming and i am really pleased with the sound and positional placing, music sounds really good you can muck around with the equalizer to get the sound you want ,you have to download the software from creative.
you can charge them while you play with the supplied micro usb cable which is rubberized and feels strong, one charge lasts me about 6 hours.

ive used them for skype no problems and have walked about 10m away and the still work,i like the freedom of no wires.

if you want a wireless headset for pc mac i would buy these at this price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Music is great!, 20 Sep 2012
This review is from: Creative Soundblaster Tactic3D Wrath Wireless Gaming Headset for PC and MAC (Accessory)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Programme (What's this?)
The headphones have perfect tone, even to my poor hearing, so much so that I found myself starting to really enjoy music again as I could hear even the quietest background instrumentals. The supplied drivers enhance your music experience by adding tonal controls, bass adjustment, and graphic equalisers for the best sound possible.

Gaming wise you can adjust your voice to disguise it with several different vocal effects to add to the fun. The battery when fully charged, even after a couple of months use, can still manage 4-6 hours, depending upon volume and levels. Recharging can be done using any standard small USB connector.

Comfort wise I struggle to find any headphones which feel comfortable on my big head, however these headphones fit even though they can only move the headphones through 90 degrees. The cups feel a little small and result in ear redness and an uncomfortable warmth, after a long period of wearing them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb, worth twice the price, 2 Aug 2012

This head set is amazing, stylish, comfy easy to set up, tactile.
They are that nice you want to put them down.
I agree with some reviews that they can be a bit tight on your ears but if u move them about and get them comfortable then you shouldn't have any problems.
Set up is a doddle, just plug them in and windows 7 set them up no problem, if you want more control then download the software and you can mess about with the settings.
One thing that can be a pain though, depending on where you are going to use them, is the size of the USB dongle. Its pretty big and if you want to use it on a laptop it will stick out quite a bit. Its at least 4cm long.
But all round you will not be disappointed with these, they are a piece of art, and at 67 a bargain!

Set-up is really easy, though the instructions that come with the headset aren't the most descriptive ever. But this makes them easy to follow and I didn't encounter any problems with installation anyway, so no bother there.

***

The only other headsets I've used was the Creative Soundblaster Omega headset and a secondhand pass-me-down, so maybe I'm not the best judge of sound quality, but I think it's superb; not tinny, distorted or 'bumpy' when the sound is turned up. After comparing the Creative Soundblaster Omega headset to this edition, I think that this cheaper edition actually has the superior sound quality. You can detach the microphone so you can relax and listen to music or films on the PC if you wish, making the headset multipurpose and justifying the price.

The headset is very comfortable to wear - you can almost forget that you are actually wearing them and the range is quite good too. Not as good as the Omega headset, but I can wander to the kitchen to grab a drink with no problems.

***

The headset does lose a star for the really slow charge time. This isn't a major problem or me, but if you are buying the headset as a gift for someone younger they may be bouncing off the furniture as they wait to be able to use it.

Also; the Omega headset is more expensive, but you can can use it for several different gaming platforms, whereas these are PC/Mac only. Again it's not a issue for me, but it's worth bearing in mind before you make a purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome for the price, 28 Jun 2012

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Programme (What's this?)
I expected these to be just another pair of flash but decent headphones, but damn, I'm seriously impressed with these - not so much when listening to music, but definitely when playing games and films on your PC.

Installation on Windows 7 is a breeze. They work straight out of the box, although to get the full benefit you'll have to download the drivers and control panel from Creative's site (it's about an 89mb download). The control panel allows you to tweak pretty much every setting you can imagine, so you can change the profile from movie to game to a different type of game depending on your activity.

The headphone's are light and most importantly of all actually pretty comfortable, though if you're planning on wearing them for hours on end then you're made of sterner stuff than me! The microphone's easily detachable. A nice little touch is that the cans easily swivel so that they can lie flat on your desk. The 7.1 surroundsound sounds amazing and although I fitted the dongle into a USB port at the back of my Pc the reception is uninterrupted throughout the room - if I leave the room it cuts out after about 4 feet, presumably from the walls interfering with reception.

Only minor negative is that if you don't want to adjust the volume via the control panel while you're watching a film etc then by touch alone the two volume buttons aren't easily distinguishable while you're wearing them. If Creative had put bigger bumps on the buttons that would have been a good improvement and save a lot of fumbling about. The control panel's battery metre - as illustrated on the box and in the manual - is also annoyingly absent, which means that unless Creative include it again in a future update you've got no idea whether the headphones are about to run out of power.

Other than that I love these things. Recommended.
