Asus X551MA-SX018H 15.6-inch Laptop (Intel Celeron 1.5GHz Processor, 4GB DDR3, 500GB HDD, DVD-RW, Windows 8)

For the money, this has to be one of the best low-priced laptops around. It's been in use for two months now, and has performed flawlessly. It's quite lightweight, charges fast, runs fast, shuts down and starts up fast, and generally does everything needed. The i3 processor and memory combo is more than man enough for everyday use, while the 15.6" screen is really crisp and sharp. As far as I'm concerned, it was a brilliant buy.

I have this laptop less than a week and I'm very happy with it. It's a I3 processor, 500 GB HDD and 4GB ram enough for multimedia and net surf. Windows 8 I believe it is a great OS, if you know "windows" there's no problems using this one as well. In the first 24 hours I had to update windows until 8.1, after that I was installing my favourite programs, uninstalling unwanted programs and now is running smooth and fast.

Pro:
- very good ratio quality vs price.
- W 8.1
- decent minimum hardware

Cons:
- it doesn't do espresso...
- it doesn't do laundry...

If you are a professional user of software you would not buy this laptop, but if you use this laptop for normal web surf, communication and multimedia you can't complain about this computer.!

I run this laptop for more than 10 days now and I'm still happy with it. No problems at all!

Brilliant purchase and perfect for my requirements as a PC as I do not play complex games etc . A straight forward PC laptop.

The item arrived very fast. The product is very good consider the quality it provides for the price paid. I recomand it for home use. I don't recomand it for big usage of the video component.

Easy to use - delivered within 24 hours - BUT WHERE IS MY WINDOWS PACKAGE? Am I being thick in not being able to find a word processing package. The advertising led me to believe it was installed. Am I now having to buy the Microsoft package so I can do word processing? If so, then I don't think this was as advertised

This laptop was purchased for the next two years at college (computer studies and graphics) as it has good specifications and a great price. However there are some positives and negatives:

Positives - The screen is a great size and not too glossy, Windows 8.1 is very good, there is plenty of power for web browsing.

Negatives - 4gb of Ram is nothing for Photoshop, integrated graphics won't play anything bigger than an online game, the keyboard is not backlit meaning typing at night is impossible, and the battery life is around 2-3 hours.

This laptop is great for someone looking to replace their old Windows XP machine, however if you're looking for a Photoshop laptop then look elsewhere!

An excellent product. This was bought for my wife to use and she finds it really good. Pity about windows 8, the reason I have not given 5 stars. Windows 7 is far better as far as I am concerned, easier to use.
