Yes the online version is free (at the moment), but that only has a selection of articles from the paper. With this you get a high quality digitized complete version of the paper and the supplements ( just like reading a pdf document).
When the paper went to the extortionate price of 60p/copy, I stopped buying it every day, but with this at £3.99/month, it works out at about 16p/copy which is much better and there is no waste paper to get rid of.
App can be a bit sluggish loading at times but otherwise no problems

I had more difficulty in fathoming how to read the parts I wanted, particularly the daily acknowledgements, obituaries etc.
