Absolutely love my Fraulein brushes. Was a bit dubious about buying a set of brushes for the price (sorry, I know MAC is the best there is or so they say but not all of us can afford to buy a brush at £15-£20 a pop). Up until now I've been using a L'Oreal set I got free from Boots yonks ago (they still have not a thing wrong with them but I felt I needed more variety to get better looks).
I was very impressed with this set of brushes. The handles are solid and long so give you a good choice of movement when trying to get the right angles without your hand accidentally smudging what's already been applied. Each brush is of top quality and are silky soft and incredibly well shaped. It astounds me how they can be so silky and soft on the skin yet at the same time firm enough to maintain the shadow without much fall out and simultaneously not scratch or scrape the delicate skin of your eyelids (which some brushes, especially synthetic fibres, can tend to do). Other than the stray hair on the brushes being a fraction longer on the occasional brush, I've had no hairs falling out, and no breaking or coming apart of the brushes.
If you're looking for a set of brushes that will help you achieve better defined shadow lines, help you smudge your liners and shadows for dark smoky eye effects, or are looking for brushes to help bronze and blush your face, this is the set to buy - especially when on a budget. I paired it with a Sleek Make Up i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette Au Naturel Palette (which is another budget buy) and despite the palette not being MAC, Clinique, or any other highly expensive brand, was able to achieve very professional looking results with the right brushes.
Would be great for the budding makeup artist for as a gift for a teenager starting to get interested in makeup. Absolutely love it, can't fault it.
