It was eagerly awaited as I am a great fan of the author but what a disappointment. It just seemed to be revisiting the past of the liv es co the residents of Pearl Street, retelling the story and the ending was so predictable. Would not recommend it.

I loved the the Pearl Street series of books......once picked up could not put them down. However I do think that this book was a little rushed at the end. I agree with others that much more could have been made of the families going into the 60's70's80' etc. I also like others thought it would have been much better to have known the outcome of all the characters in the book instead of leaving it as 'I wonder what happened to him or her'. Still great books.
