5.0 out of 5 stars What a great album! 26 May 2013

I'd never heard of Balthazar or their music, but after hearing 'sinking ship' on the radio I just had to buy it. I wasn't disappointed!

I found the album took me back to a 'teenage like' voyage of discovery - great music and lyrics. Just have to keep playing it over and over...

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible underrated (like most Belgian bands) 24 Aug 2013
Format:Audio CD
This album is a real grower and a nice follow-up to their debut "Applause". If you like them try some other Belgian bands/artists as well. It's a shame UK-media (almost) completely ignore Belgian music.

Here's a great overview of Belgian releases in 2012: [...]

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous, unusual, keeps on growing. 7 April 2014
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
The first time I listened to this CD, I was blown away. And then I listened to it again. And again.

I honestly can't fault anything about the album. I have seen the band live, supporting dEUS, and their live act was great, but this is head and shoulders above their previous album, Applause, which is also pretty darn brilliant.

You can hear musical influences in their music such as Lou Reed and fellow Belgian bands Evil Superstars and dEUS, but at no point does it sound derivative.

Everyone should own a copy of this album - they deserve to go on to great things.
