In My Own Words:
I love books! My main interest is medical textbooks, being a medical doctor but as an antidote to pedestrian usage of English i worship Joseph Conrad and Thomas Hardy. In fact I named my son after Joseph Conrad. I wanted to call him Conrad but my wife, imagining his imperilled future, forbade Conrad and so he is Joseph.

Interests
Getting closer to absolute truth. Reading the fiction of Joseph Conrad. Trying to impart as much joy as possible to my two favourite people.

Look Inside Things That Go (Usborne Look Inside) by Rob Lloyd Jones
My 2.5 year old loves this book - especially the caravan where there is an extra door inside to the toilet with someone on the throne. Lots of great picks of vehicles with double flap e.g. bin lorry first opens to see rubbish inside and them behind that is a view of it at a landfill site tipping out the rubbish.
Overall it has been in high demand at bedtime and has expanded is vocabulary considerably.

4.0 out of 5 stars gorgeous to look at, fast, responsive., 12 Mar 2014
Stunning looks, controller is a bit more plasticky though. Guzzles batteries as expected. Main downside is that because the wheel ground clearance is low and tyre profile shallow, it does not run very well on anything but the smoothest of pavements or roads. Mainly an indoor toy.
Jimi Hendrix: People, Hell and Angels (Guitar Tab) by Jimi Hendrix
I cannot fault the transcriptions. Seems really high quality and accurate. Fun to learn from. Obviously the music itself is more obscure preliminary versions of things that wouldn't ordinarily be released but they are very interesting insights into the process and development of his song writing.
