About the Author

Usain Bolt is a Jamaican sprinter widely regarded as the fastest person ever. He is the first man to hold both the 100 metres and 200 metres world records since 1977. Along with his team-mates, he also set the world record in the 4×100 metres relay. He is the reigning Olympic champion in these three events, the first man to win 6 Olympic gold medals in sprinting, and a five-time World champion. He was the first to achieve a ‘double double’ by winning 100m and 200m titles at consecutive Olympics (2008 and 2012), and topped this through the first "double triple" (including 4x100m relays).
His 2009 record breaking margin for 100 m, from 9.69 (his own previous world record) to 9.58, is the highest since records began.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiration 24 Sep 2013
By S. Lean
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Fabulous down to earth account of an extra ordinary athlete and human being's life. An honest account of what life is like, with no pretentious nonsense. An inspirational read for anyone, even those that aren't into sport. An outlook on life that should be applauded.

2.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining, but not really an autobiography 17 Dec 2013
By Neil VINE VOICE
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I found this book really enjoyable, it was fun to read and certainly quite entertaining.

BUT it did lack the 'life story' element - the book starts with Usain was already in training and gives pretty much no background stories about him growing up, etc. If you'd like to understand his motivation and journey through his sporting career then this book is for you. If you want something more in-depth and about his real life story then you'll be disappointed.

It was a good read, fast and flowing like the man himself. I recommend it to all fans of Bolt and all those who doubt him because they don't bother to know or understand him.

5.0 out of 5 stars Informed, informative informal. 3 Oct 2013
Format:Hardcover
A great read about about a rare breed: the honest legend. Uses a very "easy" style which hits the spot, without losing any of its impact. I would heartily recommend it!!
