James Carol was born in Scotland in 1969 and moved to England in the eighties. At various times he has worked as a guitarist, sound engineer, guitar tutor, journalist, and a horse riding instructor. Broken Dolls, the first Jefferson Winter book, was released in January 2014 to rave reviews. Broken Dolls has it all. Horrifying evil, a brilliant, conflicted profiler and cracking pace and tension.
