I use the micro HDMI port to connect to a monitor as I prefer the 'desktop' experience when word processing/powerpointing. This little device absolutely flies through everyday computing tasks - Office, Browsing, HD video - and will also triple up as a very usable laptop and tablet too. Battery life is excellent; will go a whole working day without needing a recharge. Windows 8.1 works very well with a touchscreen, and this touchscreen is very responsive. The keyboard is excellent and very accurate (every keystroke is recorded, which was a worry for me as my Android Asus TF101 was pants). These are a waste of space and money - they aren't genuine Redtops, but a pale imitation. Hardly any attractant, hardly any smell - I've had them up in blazing sunshine for 3 weeks and they've not attracted a single fly. Make sure you buy genuine redtops only - NOT THESE.

The most worthwhile treatise on american democracy ever, 3 May 2005

Tocqueville is a genius. This has everything you would want to know in it, although it is surprising sparce as regards his own first hand experiences. You must start with this book if you are learning about America, France or democracy generally. It is fascinating to see how Tocqueville evolved his argument between this book and his "Ancien Regime and the French Revolution". A masterpiece, practically history in itself.
