Download Music to Your PC or Mac

You can download your Digital Music Store purchases and music stored in your music library to your computer using the Amazon Music app for PC and Mac.

To download music to your computer after installing the Amazon Music app for PC and Mac Amazon Music app for PC and Mac (Amazon.co.uk full site):

1. Open the Amazon Music app.
2. Browse or search for the music you'd like to download and do one of the following:
   
   1. Right-click the song, album or playlist and click Download.
   2. Drag and drop selected music into the Download to your computer section on the right sidebar.
   Tip: To select a group of songs, press and hold the Shift key on your keyboard, then click the first and last song in a group you want to download. You can also hold the CTRL or Command key on your keyboard to select multiple songs.

You can click the Computer icon under Your Library to find your downloaded music within the Amazon Music app. You can also set up your music to automatically save to Windows Media Player or iTunes instead. To change this setting, open the Amazon Music app, and click the Menu button (3 vertically stacked lines). Select Preferences, and then follow the on-screen instructions. For more information, go to Find Your Download. To download albums or multiple songs at one time, you'll need to use Amazon Music for PC and Mac. However if you don't have the app installed on your computer, you can still download songs one-by-one, as individual MP3 files from Your Music Library Your Music Library (Amazon.co.uk full site) using a web browser:

1. Check the box next to a single song.
2. Click Download.
3. If prompted to save or open the file by your web browser, choose Save.

You can also download single-track Digital Music purchases directly from your order confirmation screen. Click "Just download my MP3" whenever prompted to get the Amazon Music app.

Note:

• If you don’t want to use Amazon Music to download new MP3 purchases manually, you can configure the Amazon Music app to automatically download them to your computer. To manage this setting, open the Amazon Music app's Menu, click Preferences, and then select Automatically download Amazon Music purchases.

• Some record companies require us to insert identifiers in the metadata that accompanies music when you download it from the Digital Music Store or your music library. For more information, go to About Record Company Required Metadata.
