Andrew James 1100 Watt Digital Filter Coffee Maker With Fully Programmable Function And Reusable Mesh Filter- 15 Cup Capacity

What I wanted was an affordable, reliable machine that makes really good, hot coffee, doesn't drip on the worktop, & has a sensible shaped jug. I had been looking for quite a while...
I'm a firm believer that Quality Shows, & when I came across this Andrew James machine my first thought was "It looks well designed", so I ordered it.
My coffee maker arrived 24 hours later.
It's very capacious...although I drink a lot of coffee, this makes enough to supply a small office - or a dinner party. It looks really nice too, which is a bonus as the machine is a couple of inches too big to fit in my kitchen cupboard when not in use. The cord is a little shorter than I need, but long enough for most kitchens.
When setting/testing the programming feature (I don't really need this feature, but wanted to check everything out) I found the display isn't lit during programming, & the numbers are not easy to see. But once set and switched to "on/auto" it lights up.
Now for the most important bit - the coffee!
This machine makes the best and hottest coffee I have had for years, a lovely smooth brew. And keeps it nice & hot for a couple of hours! There is no drippage onto the worktop, and no nasty cheap plastic smell to spoil the experience. The jug is a sensible shape, so it's possible to pour the coffee without resorting to contortions. There's a band holding the handle close to the jug so it feels secure. And to go back to the programming... I can have delicious coffee ready when I wake in the mornings, or come back from shopping in town! (Not necessary, but a touch of luxury.)
I'm not easily impressed by kitchen appliances, but this one has managed it!

This product has been advertised very badly on/by Amazon, to be honest I found that the Amazon is lying to its customers by showing they get a good deal, as I first thought but when I looked into the coffee maker it come out that on officila Andrew James web sit they are selling it for around �25.00 to �27.00 and I belive amazon stating I have saved 75% but this is lie..not that the coffee machine is bad but I thought that the original value �80.00 you will get a better quality but If I would know the value is �27.00 I would have consider that when I purchesd the product. But over all it is good makes bit too much noise to my liking when boiling the watter but you will get used to it.

I am hoping that the plastic smell fades in time. Otherwise I am quite happy. Certainly keeps coffee hot enough

Would totally recommend Andrew James (and, of course their products) to all. The jug broke on my coffee machine and with no hassle Andrew James sent a replacement immediately. I am just about to order an ice cream maker. Refreshing to receive good service.

When in use, it fills the kitchen with steam. Digital display full of condensation, after use. Makes decent coffee, though, but once everything had dried out, it went back into its box and we ordered a different make.Very disappointed. Although it was on offer, it was money down the drain.

This is an excellent coffee machine. So easy to use and makes the coffee so quickly. Switched it on a couple of times using just water to get rid of any plastic taste.No need to worry there was no taste, just a lovely jug of hot coffee! We filled it up to 10 cups and it made enough for 4 large cups as coffee cups are usually quite small. Stayed hot to the last drop. This was purchased from an excellent seller and I can highly recommend this seller to anyone. Thank you so much.

This machine is the absolute best coffee machine I have ever owned. Been using coffee machines daily for the past 10 years and by far this is my favourite for producing filter coffee. Taste and temperature at which it's kept during consumption make it a proper good slurp..... And it has it ready for when you get up in the morning! If your looking for a filter coffee machine this is the only one you should be buying!

Coffee produced is good and hot. Hotplate keeps coffee warm and bubbling. Robust Machine, would recommend to anyone looking for a filter coffee machine. Only curio, sometimes I have to check the time on the clock, so that coffee is ready in the morning.

I was wondering why this coffee machine was reduced. Even though it looked good and the programming feature is interesting, the initial jug I received was loose at the bottom and the handle kept flying off (together with the jug) spilling hot coffee everywhere.

Clearly not ideal, I called up the company who were fantastic and prompt in replacing it; however the replacement jug does not seem to fit under the pressure plate that lets the coffee percolate through.

As a result the coffee accumulates and spills on the watertank, which is not detachable. Hence you can not clean the tank and you get specks of coffee floating everywhere. It also spilled on the heating plate and on my kitchen surfaces.

The top lid also does not seem to shut well even though all precautions have been taken.

It is a shame as I expected a lot from this product, but I had to return it for the above reasons.

Machine looks good and brews a nice hot cup of coffee.
My only disappointment is the 'cup' sizing used for the water guage on the machine and the glass carafe.....very very small cup measurement must have been used. If I use the 5 cup level, I could never serve 5 people coffee; it barely gives one and a half standard size mugs of coffee. Had to figure out what works best for me.
