We return to the fictional town of Pontyberry in the South Wales Valleys and the home of Stella Morris – who continues to juggle the ups and downs of her family, ex-husbands, lovers and friends. After her love life rollercoaster ride of series 2, Stella has renounced men and embarked on a new nursing career. With all her children and grandchildren plus a dog now living at home, Stella’s house is bursting at the seams. Just as she likes it! But an encounter with a new neighbour rocks Stella’s already chaotic boat… in more ways than one.

I absolutely loved this series of Stella, it's my favourite one yet. I love the new characters (particularly Michael and his relationship with Stella) and found the whole thing so well written and performed I'm in complete awe of the talents of those involved. There is some real comedy gold here, but it's also incredibly emotional and moving at times. I could watch this all day long and am counting down to the Christmas special and season 4. Huge thanks to Ruth Jones and the team for coming up with such quality - this is easily the best thing I've seen on tv for years. Enjoy!

The first two series of Stella kept you on the edge of your seat because you wanted to know what was going to happen in the next episode and this series has done it again! Wonderful storylines and actors/actresses. I've seen them filming a few times and I was an extra in the up coming Christmas special and I can honestly say the whole cast and crew are amazing people and they are amazing at their jobs, you don't know how much time and effort these people put into making Stella.The script writing team on this series have done a tremendous job, the story lines can make you cry with sadness one minute and with laughter then next. Big shout out to Steve Speirs and Ruth Jones who are on the writing team (The best episodes are written by Steve, will have you on the floor having a laughing fit). Series three also has some fab new characters, only down side to this series is a let down by some of the characters/actors not returning from previous series but that can't be helped and you have to acknowledge factors such as actors working on other projects or maybe wanting to take some time out of acting. But overall, amazing! You can't fault it! I want to visit Pontyberry!
Can't wait for the Christmas special and series 4 and by the time they air hopefully have more series commissioned!

Loved the new series, misses a few key characters from the first two seasons, but still enjoyed it and look forward to another season and also the upcoming Xmas special. More Stella please! Actually a Stella movie would be fun!!

Stella Season 3 is fantastic Ruth Jones is just a genius to write another season just as good as the other 2.
There are some people missing but there a few new characters which make up for the loss of the others.
Stella finally meets her prince called Michael Jackson but they don't get off on a good start but as they get to know each other they end up falling in love . Stella, the family and of course the whole pontyberry go through their share of ups and downs but they all come together in their tight little community and help each other out no matter how big or small the problem is and this season will have you laughing, crying and make you want to snuggle and cwtsh.
I know this review sucks but I don't want to give too much away for those who haven't seen it yet.
I really recommend this show alright "But" as they say in Wales :-D.

I'm so disappointed with Series 3. Stella 1 & 2 were both cleverly written and brilliantly funny, and more to the point the characters, although immensely colourful were realistic (I should know as I was born and bred in the Welsh Valleys). I could relate to so many of the incidents, observations and personalities and the script was particularly authentic. Sadly I have watched 3 episodes of Series 3 and I have cringed my way through each one. Ruth what were you thinking? Save for a handful of the cast it's now a cringing mass of over the top acting, hamming it up and trying to be funny for funny sake. Quite frankly it makes Welsh people look like complete goms!
Episode 3 which I watched last night, sees Aunty Brenda recruiting for drivers for her 'Brenda's Buses' company and it was embarassing to watch - childishly ridiculous and unnecessary. Ruth Jones is such a talented, inspirational lady and a fabulous ambassador for Wales ;and I'm chuffed to bits that she's put Wales on the map via Gavin & Stacey and Stella. However, it seems that Stella 3 has replaced the clever wit and charm of the first two series with a brash caper of daftness:trying to squeeze a laugh out of every line - really there's no need. Go back to the original formula please and tone it down for series 4.

Well that's my wife and daughters opinion, and to be fair its not far off mine either. Just as good as season 1 and 2, roll on series 4.
