5.0 out of 5 stars Nano by Robin Cook
A very enjoyable read. Michael Creighton covered the subject a few years back but I think this book is much better with so much fascinating information. My only criticism is that the size of the print in the paperback version is far too small.Maybe it was intended to match the topic of the story!

1.0 out of 5 stars LOUSY ENDING
Improbable plot, poor characterisation, unlikeable heroine. As if this isn't bad enough, the ending was one of the worst I have ever read.

I chose this rating because I had to keep on reading but ... and it's a big BUT, I felt let down by its climax. I cannot betray this (for the sake of first time readers) I can only hope and trust that our feisty and beautiful heroine continues to live and to tell the tale another day.

Come on Robin, don't disappoint your fans. You seem to have left yourself another story - as deeply challenging as this, I can only hope you are pursuing it with as much dedicated research as shows in Nano ...

nano is one of my favourite books by robn cook with so many different scene switches it is a real "thinker" of a novel but nevertheless thoroughly enjoyable, shocking and full of interesting information

Fast paced, interesting, professional, highly topical and a really good read. Central character not my favourite, but that's just a personal preferential thing.

Great book, Robin Cook's usual standard. You wont be disappointed if you like Cook's books. Once you start reading, you will find it hard to put down.

I like all Robin Cook books but some more than others. This one was great and I could not stop reading when started. Can't wait for the next one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gripping but scary, 20 Aug 2013
This review is from: Nano (Hardcover)
I have read every Robin Cook book published and have to admit that I was a little disappointed with his last one, Death Benefit. However with Nano I think he is back on track and I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

I just find it very scary to think that technology such as this is being developed behind closed doors, with precious little regulation. Let's hope not.

If you want to read another good book about nanotechnology try Michael Crichton's novel, Prey.

2.0 out of 5 stars What about the ending !, 12 July 2013
This review is from: Nano (Paperback)
I haven't enjoyed Robin Cook's books as much in recent years but thought this sounded promising and decided to give it a go. It was ok until you got to the end. Well I say end but the frustrating thing was that although the book came to an end there was no resolution. Very frustrating. Perhaps there will be a follow up which continues this but I won't be buying it. I will just borrow from the library to see what happened to the protagonist in this book.

As always Robin Cook made medical thriller exciting. Nano is simply unputdownable. I am sure there is a follow up book coming.
