This is a really smart man's trisuit in a great design/colour combo with arm holes that aren't too large and vest-like.

Opening this book feels as if you are lifting the lid of a dusty treasure trove of Christmas snippets and delving inside to immerse yourself in the spirit of Christmas, or settling by the fire for a chat with Father Christmas in a traditional Lapland cabin.
Father Christmas's story of himself is a mixture of memoir and miscellany, looking back on centuries of festive traditions, and key Christmas stories and poems: The Nativity, Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, Clement Clarke Moore's poem The Night before Christmas, for example. And while the feel of this book is Victorian, the text is smack bang up-to-date telling the pulling together references to Father Christmas in books and films… Read more

This is a great book - it's brilliantly clear and brilliantly colourful,and it turns a traditionally dreary topic into FUN. And anything that stops the learning of punctuation feeling like hard work for an 8+ year old is a good thing in my book! "Punctuation: the write stuff" covers a sensible range of topics, from sentences, full stops, commas, apostrophes, speech marks, brackets, semi-colons and more, making each fun and surprisingly accessible. There's a double page spread for each with a memorable picture to help the reader fix the appropriate idea in their head -the question mark is a detective, the exclamation marl a charatcer with a megaphone - and an explanatory paragraph with funky… Read more
