Ever thought about sharing your toothbrush with a shark? Or using a tiger as a towel? Well, think again . . . This brilliantly daft, witty cautionary tale will guide you safely through the perils of dinner, bathtime and bedtime - helping you to snuggle down for a lovely sleep, free from dinosaurs, tigers and sharks. A wickedly funny and reassuring bedtime read.

This is a bright, funny, book with very witty illustrations. The rhythm of the language is great for a bedtime read.

5.0 out of 5 stars My five year old delights in this book 27 Feb 2014
Format:Paperback
My five year old couldn't get enough of this book. He was laughing the whole way through and made a game of remembering each animal and what you must never do. He was having so much fun that both my 8 and 10 year olds took the book to bed and also enjoyed it immensely. How refreshing to find a children's book which is funny, entertaining and a joy to read for child and adult alike.

Format:Paperback
Gareth Edwards has a real gift for writing books that five year old children find utterly hilarious, without making their parents want to scream with the repetition. My daughter howls with laughter through this book, each time we read it - enjoying the silliness and often pointing out to me why it's a bad idea to shower with a shark or use a bison as a blanket, and often extending the book with her own rhymes and reasons. She took it into school and read it to her class as well, and they all loved it too. Guy Parker-Rees's fabulous illustrations help to underline the surreal approach, while being entirely appealing for children as well.
