An essential classic but meanly presented., 15 April 2014

Britain in the late 50s and 1960s was awash with finger-style guitar players doing interesting things with folk and blues music. We had native sons such as Jansch and Renbourn, Ralph McTell, Davey Graham and Martin Carthy. There were also some noted visiting Americans such as Paul Simon, and this guy - Jackson C Frank. The whole scene, rattling around a national network of folk clubs and sessions, was inspirational for people like John Martyn and Nick Drake who came later.

Jackson C Frank seems to have had a hard life, lending an honest wistfulness to much of his playing. This is not one of those introverted singer songwriters with no life experience to lend their output… Read more

Studies have shown that krill oil reduces LDL-cholesterol, raises HDL-cholesterol, and lowers blood sugar. There is evidence it treats pain and inflammation from rheumatoid arthritis and aches and pains in general. It has also been linked to relieving PMS.

In other good news, they are certified sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council. This is important as krill is the base foodstuff of most marine ecosystems. If it were to be oferfished the consequences for fish, birds and sea mammals could be devastating. This krill however is from the antartic where krill is super abundant.

I absolutely love Peppersmith's fresh mints. They are sweetened with low calorie xylitol, which is not only harmless to your teeth, it is actively good for them. Compared to other sweeteners it has virtually no side-effects. The mints taste great, are extremely refreshing and are suitable for vegetarians.

The same benefits are to be had here with these Orange and Mandarin Tingz. Its just that the flavour isn't quite as fantastic as just plain mint. Granted this citrus version is better than the strawberry and vanilla ones, but give me the mints anytime.

Handy little bags though and still the tic-tac alternative for the connoisseur.
