Product Description

From #1 New York Times best-selling author Colleen Hoover, a passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance.

At twenty-two years old, Sydney has a great life: She's in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter's cheating on her - and she is left trying to decide what to do next.

Sydney becomes captivated by Ridge, her mysterious neighbor. She can't take her eyes off him or stop listening to his playing his guitar every day out on his balcony. And there's something about Sydney that Ridge can't ignore, either. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one...

From the author of the New York Times best sellers Slammed, Point of Retreat, Hopeless, This Girl, and Losing Hope, Maybe Someday is destined to be another best seller and long-lasting fan favorite.

4.0 out of 5 stars Emotional 19 Mar 2014
By Book Angel Emma VINE VOICE
Format:Kindle Edition
I’m actually writing this review after staying up until 3am in order to finish the book. Bear in mind I only started yesterday and you’ll quickly realise that this is one of those books you need to read in one sitting. Be warned. Today I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck of emotion, I will attempt to be coherent but don’t count on it.

Maybe Someday is a tricky book for me because it tackles one of the issues I have very strong feelings about CHEATING. Normally that would mean I wouldn’t touch the book with a ten foot barge pole but hey it’s Colleen Hoover and I’ve loved everything she’s written so far (apart from that incident in Losing Hope – yeah you know what I’m talking about don’t you Holder) so I tore my way through it. When I say I speed my way through it, this was accompanied by some very ugly crying on multiple occasions, as well as a lot of curse words floating about. It brought out some really strong feelings in me and most surprisingly for me, it made me feel empathy for the characters. I KNOW WTH right? Maybe Someday is raw, it’s real and most definitely relatable. However, I did want to throttle the main characters on more than one occasion.

Sydney gets cheated on by her boyfriend of 2 years with her best friend, to make matters worse it’s on her birthday. She’s begun a friendship with Ridge, who lives opposite based on their combined musical talent and connection on that level. As she lives with her former best friend she finds herself homeless, saving the day Ridge offers her a room in his apartment. They can be friends right? Even though the air practically sizzles when they’re together and their connection and easy relationship is just one of those things, right? Because Ridge has a girlfriend who he would never leave, for more reasons than one.

College Hoover is one of those authors who can just slay your emotions in a sentence and she gets me every time. Heartbreak and turmoil mixed with love and loyalty. The music soundtrack brings a unique element to the story

5.0 out of 5 stars An unforgettable experience 18 Mar 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
When I start a new book by Colleen Hoover, I get kind of nervous. I'm excited, no doubt. But I think the overriding feeling is nerves. She's one of the very few authors that I will buy and read absolutely anything she releases, as soon as it goes live. But when I finally hold it in my hands, I think...

what if I don't like it?

What if this is the book that knocks her off the pedestal I've placed her on?

MAYBE SOMEDAY is definitely not that book.

There is so much that makes Colleen Hoover's latest novel so brilliantly unique. Take Ridge; musician, songwriter, and all round good guy. Seen it all before right? Wrong. So wrong. Colleen has paved the way for a whole new type of book boyfriend with Ridge. One I never even considered that I could love, but do so with every piece of my heart.

She also tackles a subject that many are hesitant to approach, and she shows us two completely different sides to it. Sides that create a war between your head and your heart, but she shows us that we can't help who we love, no matter how hard we might fight it.

"Desire is easy to fight. Especially when the only weapon desire posses is attraction. It's not so easy when you're trying to win a war against the heart."

And then of course we have the sound track...

I'm not usually one to listen to music as I read. I like peace and quiet to get completely lost in a book, but I've been following Griffin Peterson for a while now. His voice is so beautiful it just sends chills through me, so I knew that I would make an exception when it came to MAYBE SOMEDAY.

The first time I read the book, I did so without the music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Colleen's best book yet, amazing story 19 Mar 2014
By DonnaC

Reviewed by Willow & Donna ~ 5 Stars

"I think the fact that I misjudged him pisses me off more than the fact that he cheated on me. If I can't even accurately judge the people closest to me, then I can't trust anyone. Ever. I hate them from taking that away from me. Now, no matter who comes into my life after this, I'll always be skeptical."

Donna: Well what can I say, can Colleen write a bad book? Well the answer is a big fat resounding no!! I totally and utterly adored this book. It made me happy and sad, made me cry buckets but it took me on an amazing emotional journey that I will not forget in a hurry and made my mascara run and run and run.

Willow: I will admit that this book had the ice queen melting - yes it did have me crying quite alot too. Colleen is an amazing writer, it is so effortless reading her words and she really makes you feel every single one.

Ridge has been trying to write songs for his brother and their band, but is having writers block. Seeing Sydney from across the court yard connecting to his music and creating lyrics for them, Ridge realises he needs her help. With the betrayal Sydney has just faced, she now has no home and no job. Ridge comes up with a solution that helps Sydney and gets her helping him write the songs that he needs.

With this book you get the added bonus of the free soundtrack. I think that having the music linked to Colleen's (and Griffin's) written words adds a whole new level to the book, whilst I didn't listen to all the sound track whilst reading, I can certainly see that adds so much more of an experience to the book.

Donna: Yes music and words always go hand in hand and in the book it was the way in which Sydney and Ridge communicated the most honestly.
