Opted for this instead of the physical shipment both for the instant download option as well as the reasonable price tag. Had some worries about compatibility with Microsoft Surface Pro machine especially as the product comes with a no returns policy - it is the customer's responsibility to determine compatibility issues before purchasing, says the website (Nuance offer the 30-day money back guarantee if you buy it from them!). However, it was a smooth experience from downloading to installation and the application is working as expected. Of course, I had to spend another �30 to buy a decent headset (which is included if you buy the physical shipment for �100+).
The option of being able to download from your online software library in the future is an added bonus (Nuance charge you an extra �5 for this option).

My first Amazon software order over the net. Very straight forward and fast download (I am on BT infinity!)
I use this at work and at home and can commend its simplicity and out of the box ease of use. You do need an appropriate ear and microphone set. And yes you can produce simple documents much quicker once you have got the hang of it. Best value offer I could find on the net.

I originally bought the earlier version on cd rom for Windows XP Premium Home Edition and had a nightmare of a time installing it which by the way I couldn't do. I then stupidly bought this version on download form which totally screwed up my computer. Amazon very kindly refunded my money for this although I had to go out and purchase a new computer (Windows 8.1). I returned the earlier version to Norton a couple of weeks ago asking for a refund and you guessed I have not heard so much as a peep. They do not appear to appear to have a UK based helpline and their internet helpline is useless to say the least as they do not have a dedicated e-mail address and only a users forum. Let me be clear that this is only MY experience which I can only sum up as horrendous hence the title.

Bought the downloaded, Premium, version

Has much more features than the basic one. Once up and running, it works better than previous versions, (have used DNS since 2000, previously had versions 4, 8 and 11). Have done custom commands so that I can throw in often used large blocks of text easily, that saves loads of time.
Really pleased with it, the text to speech works well with proof reading (listening) also, and it seems to understand my Gloucestershire accent too. Still does make the odd mistake eg I say "beams" and it types 'beam is'

Only downside is that (as previous with version 11) it can be troublesome to install, but its worth the hassle to get it up and running.

Installed the product from the supplier, every time I started the product it asked me to activate the product. It tells me that the serial number is not correct, or does not correspond with the product.

No means to communicate with the supplier through the normal methods, where you have purchased it, so I looked up their contact details, and have received no response.
