As with the Brave New World Expansion Pack, the Mac version works with Windows as well, just copy the code sent to you in your confirmation email into Steam to save yourself �10.

As for the expansion, it simply improves Civilization, so if you enjoy Civ 5, then you'll probably enjoy this expansion pack.
