When to change a nappy
In the first couple of months, you may find yourself changing nappies up to 10 times in 24 hours. Nappies should be changed whenever they are wet or soiled. Your baby will often (but not always) let you know.
Here are some common times for changing nappies:
- Right before or right after every feeding
- After every bowel movement
- Before bedtime
- When your baby wakes up
- When you go out with your baby
The art of changing nappies
Pampers nappies are designed to adjust to your baby's shape for a snug, comfortable fit. While changing nappies there's no need to fold the waistband in or out or to adjust the leg cuffs.
- Place tabs parallel to the waistband and centered on the character strip
- Use the characters as guides to ensure the fasteners are evenly spaced
- Keep baby products such as powder away from the fasteners so they maintain their stickiness
Wiping baby bottoms
All Pampers wipes clean gently and return the skin to its natural pH even after a wet change. Have a supply handy while changing nappies to help keep your baby clean and fresh. For baby girls, while changing nappies always wipe from front to back to minimize the amount of stool material that gets near her genitals. Also, be careful to clean all areas, as the folds in the skin around her genitals can hide urine and soil.
Finding the right size
Just like you, babies like to wear things that fit just right. Choose a size that does not sag or gap, even as your baby crawls and plays. This will help prevent leaks. Each product description on this site gives guidelines that represent the average weight for a particular size. And remember, when you move up a size, you gain absorbency.
Safe nappying
You buy the latest toys and babies wind up playing with silly things - like nappies. It's important to keep nappies where they should be, on your baby's bottom. Don't let your baby put the nappy in her mouth. Discard any nappy that has become torn or unsealed, and read the warning label on all bags.
Waste removal
As the Pampers bag recommends, you'll want to dispose of the bowel movements in the toilet. Then just roll the nappy into its backsheet, using the tape or fasteners to keep it closed, and dispose of it in your household rubbish.

I have been buying Pampers Active Fit from Amazon for a few months now and the price combined with the quality has been great. However I just received my monthly box and noticed that the nappies are different. What is going on? Have Pampers changed them? If so I hope for the better and not the worse. Or is it that I have been sent a very old box?? I do hope not Amazon!

I've been ordering these via the subscribe and save for the past few months. My daughter is incredibly active and these are the only nappies that seemed to work for us. However the most recent batch were completely different to the ones i had previously. The ones in the shops and delivered previously had blue tabs and bands, however, these latest ones are green. they seem like a completely different nappy. they dont feel as good quality and my daughter seemed to have started getting nappy rash if I her nappy isnt changed every 2 hours. Overnight, she sleeps 12 hours so the nappy is so heavy and full of pee that it is really puffy.I won't be buying these again, which is a real shame.

I signed up for Subscribe and Save in June when the price was �19.20 for this pack. Clearly the expectation is that the price will remain round about the same when you sign for monthly deliveries. Since then, Amazon has conveniently jacked up the price to �31.99 on my most recent order on Aug 22. Thats over 60% higher than the price i signed up for and the general price in the market. Its interesting to see that the price of the product has dropped to �23 just days after they shipped my order. Clearly, a ploy to rip off new parents who have enough on their hands to worry about - the ingoing Amazon assumption seems to be that people like us just wouldn't have the time to check the prices. CONSUMERS BEWARE OF AMAZON SUBSCRIBE & SAVE. Its a scam in broad daylight. Just not what i expected from a company of Amazon's calibre!

These have to be our nappies of choice; we have tried a number of different types and brands. However, at the end of the day these always seem to be the best and frankly we have stopped shopping around. Babies comfort is paramount and these feel soft and when soiled seem really absorbent, we have also had less leakage events always a plus point.

Never let us down & monthly pack has last more then a month so far! Def worth every penny! Other mothers I know try shopping around for the best/cheapest nappies. But save yourself from endless nappy shopping & stick with a good band like pampers :)

Very poor. Apparently this is the newdesign for active fit. The old design was great and these new ones leak. My sons clothes were wet through several times and I change him 7 or 8 times a day. I actually thought I had a fake batch so called P and G who explained this is new 'improved' design.

Smelled of urine!
