I started this book this morning and just couldn't put it down. It is quite short and that is my only negative - I wish it was much longer because I just Loved the characters. Bliss was funny and I liked her a lot. Usually the h usually does something that has me frustrated or annoys me, but not Bliss, I would love to read more about her. I do love a good bad boy and have read a lot of books about them lately but Garrick isn't one (well unless you count wanting to have a relationship with a student of his ;-) ) but I still found him incredibly loveable. Although this book isn't very angsty, there is a misunderstanding and another potential relationship, along with Bliss' conflicted feelings to keep it an interesting read.

LOVED IT and will definitely be looking for more books from this author - Cora please just make them a little longer next time to prolong my enjoyment!

A lovely light-hearted novel about a seemingly impossible love. Bliss is determined to lose her virginity on a night out, but when the situation arises she quickly chickens out. To her embarrassment the man she had left naked in her bed 8 hours earlier is her new English professor. Despite the awkwardness and illegality of it all, both characters fall madly in love and embark on a whirlwind romance. I would definitely recommend this book.

This can definitely be described as an easy read and very enjoyable, I couldn't put it down! It sits just outside the YA genre as it is a tad too "hot" for a teenage audience but it doesn't skate straight into erotica either and neither is it chick lit its somewhere in between, in the new genre "New Adult".

In a nut shell I highly recommend it :-)

This book had been on my TRB list for a while, I had a friend who had read it and loved it, it was just waiting for me to find that time to read it. Also, due to some great book offers in my local bookshop I had this one in paperback. So when I luckily to get a chance with some other bloggers to meet the Author Cora Carmack at a private book signing, I knew I had to bump this book to the top of my TRB list. I really enjoyed it.

I loved the Bliss Edwards and Garrick Taylor. Bliss (great name) I felt was sweet and funny, just a normal girl with insecurities that every girl her age would have. I loved the development of her character throughout the book and was a lot more confident in the end. Garrick well what can I say a fellow Brit how was I not going to like him, he was a good guy a real charmer, a true gentleman, and the more I read the more I loved this character without a doubt he is very swoon worthy.

I enjoyed the storyline; it was a cute love story, low on the drama, it was a fun easy read, which I wish would have been longer. I can't tell you how many times that this book made me laugh out loud, and remember this was a paperback copy, so I was reading it on the bus to and from work, and I have to say I got some funny looks from my fellow travelers.

Bliss and Garrick relationship not easy forbidden love and all, but I felt it was realistic, I can see how it could happen and does happen, it hasn't' happened to me, my male teachers were way too old.;) I love the chemistry, the banner between the two, the award moment of their first meeting and Bliss's shock when she sees Garrick the next day and discover who he is. OMG. So...Can i just say, the cover is just false advertising as the guy is blonde... sorry but i was just like... mate, CAM'ON! But- i read this book in 4 hours which shows how amazingly written and captivating and heated and passionate and OMG- I LOVED IT. LOVED IT TO PIECES. Best fiction novel by far that i have read this summer! It was just superb and i recommend it to anybody who loves romance, with a bit of danger on the sidelines. it was just beautiful.

To be honest I do not really see the point in a new adult genre. Is a girl in her early 20's in a new adult book any different from a girl in her early 20's in an adult book? Does she act differently? Think differently? I don't think so, I think a girl in her early 20's is an adult therefore a book where she does adult stuff like drink and have sex is an adult book, but that is just my opinion and even if I don't get it, it will not stop me from reading New Adult books in the future. Regardless of my opinions or what I think about this new genre I read Losing It and I have to say that I really, really loved it.

There was so much to enjoy about this book. The story was sweet the characters good and the writing decent. It was nice to read a book that was cute instead of overly dramatic and that was funny instead of angsty.

I am a big fan of the characters in this. Bliss is down to earth, sweet and more than a little awkward. There were times, especially at the beginning, when I felt absolutely mortified for her. I may have laughed a little at her, but I felt damn sorry for her to. I honestly do not think I have read anything so gloriously cringe worthy ever.

Garrick was a little more composed but just as likeable. I know from other reviews that a lot of his appeal lies in the fact he is British, well, being that I am British and am around British guys all the time (trust me they are not as wonderful as you think they are) he had to do a lot more then say love in an accent to win me over. Garrick has other redeeming features like his patients with Bliss after their first encounter. Read more ›
