Having read some other negative comments about the second season, I must say I have found myself extremely impressed by it. The characters remain complex and engaging, portrayed flawlessly and convincingly by a superb cast, and their development through the storylines of season 2 is done expertly. Hiro, Mohinder, Matt, Claire, Peter, Nathan and Nikki all grow as people and as heroes, their reactions to events well imagined and genuine. The storylines themselves flow brilliantly throughout the series, linking smoothly into and also building upon the events and revelations of season 1. A spellbinding novel, 6 Aug 2009

When I bought 'Angel', I was not expecting it to be as good as McNish's Doomspell Trilogy and Silver Sequence, but having read it would go almost as far as to say that it surpasses them.

As with all of McNish's novels the storyline is innovative, but Angel in particular holds some sort of magical beauty - a depth and ability to captivate the imagination and emotions. The characters are vivid and involving and the descriptive narrative sublime.

The original ideas sit exquisitely together and allow the reader to see angels and also the world we live in in a new and beautiful but intriguing light.

An unforgettable story. This book is unputdownable.

Merlin is an innovative new television series, which draws its audience in to a world full of intrigue and magic right from the start. The episodes are original and exciting with compelling characters.

The actors are well-cast bringing the series to life, whilst its combination of Robin Hood/Dr Who style excitement and interesting plots (with magic almost as prominent here as Robin Hoods archery skills and the Doctors Time Lord science), this new series is a treat to watch.

It's new interpretation of the legend means that there is something for many ages in Merlin. Some recognizable names give tantalizing clues as to the characters motives, but the script still… Read more
